I like Zuccarello-Ek-Laine because
1) Ek can play defense
2) Norway, Sweden and Finland are all represented on one line
3) They're even in geographical order on the lineup card
In the northern most part of Sweden is a place called Treriksröset (Three Country Cairn) where those 3 countries meet. You can actually visit all 3 countries in 3 seconds.

Not much new so far, Says he thinks they are more likely to move back in draft than move up. Says they have offered pick #13 to Winnipeg, Doesnt think Gus will be dealt this weekend. Still Brought up Laine. So everything we already know.

Jets probably can't resign Brendan Dillon (thank the stars) -- Middleton is making $2.45M this year and might be attractive to them as a gritty LHD replacement. Would you take Nate Schmidt back (at $5.95M for one year) if McGroarty was attached?

Something like Middleton + 2nd(?) for McGroarty + Schmidt (no retention)

No idea if it actually moves the needle for the Jets, but Middleton fits what they're losing in Dillon and gives them some needed cap space. Would leave us with ~$1M in cap space, if we re-sign Chisolm for ~$850k-$1M + McGroarty's ELC. But one of McGroarty, Ohgren, Jojo, or Hartman would have to hold down the top 6 spot (also, sending one of Ohgren or Khusnutdinov down to Iowa could save another ~$900k if McGroarty replaces one of them in the lineup; would give us a little more cushion)

Hard to see it happening if we actually think we're contenders this year, but seems like it could be a prudent move with Zeev coming as early as the end of the year anyways. Turning Middleton into McGroarty just for taking on Schmidt for a non-contending year would be a boon that could pay dividends during our actual window.

Also, maybe Hunt could jump Schmidt and we would have an expensive 7th D lol. Either way, our left side would be iffy after Brodin for the year.

2025 1st + Heidt + one of the Iowa LDs for Konecny extended at $9M per year.

I don't like the idea of MN going into next season only having a 2nd, 4th (TOR), and a 6th as their only 2025 draft picks. I usually don't mind trading draft picks, but striping the cupboard bare after they missed the Playoffs doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

So is buium also going to play in the org next year? Doesn’t make much sense to have him play in NCAA again.

You want us to bury one year of Nate Schmidt and lose Middleton for just the price of McGroarty? You've come in here and insulted us sir!

Where do I sign?
