-53? Must have taken two weeks for you to thaw.So my internet and cable only came back about 2 minutes ago after being out for 2 weeks because we had a snow warning and it was something like -53 on the 17th when it went out.
is Kaprizov playing tomorrow?
What happened to Knies?

Kaprizov is out for 4 weeks. Knies fell awkwardly vs CBJ. I believe LBI.
How does one learn this wizardry of picking superstar Russians in the 5th round?
I believe he is day to day.
Stolarz is skating and might get a game before the 4 Nations Faceoff. And yes, was going to say day to day means week to week when it comes to these Leafs.on the surface thats a positive but Stloarz and Matthews were day to day originally too, Matthews was out 3 weeks and Stolarz is, whatever Stolarz is,
He's got to be getting close but he's been out a month or more
Where do you live?So my internet and cable only came back about 2 minutes ago after being out for 2 weeks because we had a snow warning and it was something like -53 on the 17th when it went out.

I'm in Alberta I missed the last 5 games it was wild, -53 is a different level of cold to knock out my internet and cable for 2 weeks it has to be cold
Up north no doubt.
I'm thinking of moving to Alberta within the next two years.
Just have to convince the wife
Yeah, at that kind of number I'm not sure what you do other than stay inside and hope for the best.don't bring up -53, that won't help your case,

I would have also considered...moving.thats what I did

Penticton would be hard to leave but the province is in free fall.
Another year or two and she will change her mind.
Destination southern Alberta.
Ball cracking weather.I grew up in Lethbridge in the 80s. -40 was a regular event. You tend to remember that when you had a paper route. The good news is it never lasted long because of chinooks.
Losing Kaprizov really hurt them.Remember when Minnesota started the season as one of the best teams in the league? Yeah, neither do they.
One of these things is not like the others. It sucks that Kaprizov is out, Matthews VS Kaprizov is always fun.
That being said if you are the Leafs you need to take advantage of thatnot allow any soft ones.
I
Matthews, Marner and Nylander need to go off and Woll needs to to not allow any soft ones.
I know that Toronto is missing Tavares and Knies themselves but I feel like between Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Mcmann and Domi there SHOULD be enough offense to beat the Wild espically without Kaprizov
They are tied with the team you predicted will win the cup.Remember when Minnesota started the season as one of the best teams in the league? Yeah, neither do they.
After winning four in a row from Dec. 31 to Jan. 7, the Wild has lost six of its past nine games, all in regulation. The challenge to get back to consistently winning will rise with the news on Tuesday that star winger Kirill Kaprizov will have surgery for a lower-body injury and will be out on a week-to-week basis … In the previous 20 meetings between the Wild and Maple Leafs, Minnesota has the edge with a record of 11-7-2, including a 2-1 win in overtime at St. Paul on Nov. 2, the only other clash this season … The Wild is 7-5-1 in games without Kaprizov in 2024-25. He has a team-high 52 points in 37 games, though this latest absence is bound to take him out of consideration for the Hart Trophy … There’s a good chance Leafs captain Auston Matthews will tie, if not pass, Darryl Sittler for second-most goals in team history. Matthews’ 388 goals has him one behind the 389 Sittler scored for Toronto, and Matthews has played in 247 fewer games. We like Matthews’ chances to score on Wednesday, as he has 11 goals in 13 career games versus the Wild … Minnesota has among the worst penalty-killing units in the NHL, sitting 30th before games on Tuesday at 70.2%. Only Detroit (69.6%) and the New York Islanders (68.3%) were below the Wild … After Wednesday, the Leafs won’t play at home again until Feb. 22 against Carolina. On Thursday, they head west for a four-game trip starting on Saturday in Edmonton and will then enjoy the break for the 4 Nations Face-Off. After the game against the Hurricanes, they will have another four-game trip from Feb. 23-March 2.
