Personally, I'd include Ek in the untouchable/no-move list, because every team needs a center like that to win in the playoffs. If he could win faceoffs he'd probably be getting even more Selke votes than he already is. But I understand listening to offers.

Boldy and Rossi sure are trending in different directions. Boldy looks like a player every time I see him. Usually making good and unique plays with the puck. In the right spots. Effective. Just looks like a future top line player.

Rossi looks lost on the other hand. Had a brutal turnover last night. A real WTF was that play. Which you see him make with uncomfortable frequency.

I'm not really sure what this has to do with trading away Minnesota players that aren't Boldy or Rossi.

He's probably a current top line player if our coaches would treat him like one.

LA could do with a little more meat and potatoes. I wouldnt mind us going for Middleton and Greenway if a mutually beneficial trade that doesnt handcuff the cap could be figured out.

As a Buffalo fan, I find this pretty interesting. I could see either team asking for a small add along with it - but it makes a lot of sense as a "hockey trade".
I think the problem is that Faber could sign somewhere else.
Östlund is the real deal but a signed Faber would be tempting. Honestly don't think I could trade Östlund, he will win us a lot if games in the future.

I feel like most trades would need a little extra incentive to be made. Not much point selling quality players like Foligno and Greenway for 2nds or similar caliber prospects, we've got a fairly large group in that range already. If you could get a 1st or a prospect/ELC player who could be justified on that level then I would agree its worth exploring. Things like Foligno for a 1st or Greenway for Krebs(player fit is kinda iffy IMO, but does fit the logic) are very justifiable trades. I don't know with the lack of game action Greenway/Hartman have had this year if they are that desirable at this point in time.

Middleton is a step down from those 2 guys(Foligno/Greenway) and his puck play in his own/neutral zone has been downright horrendous all year. We got him for very little and have the luxury of a 2M pylon sitting in the pressbox who should be capable of a close to every-game role at that price tag, so I do agree if we could get a 2nd or similar prospect that would be solid.

Dumba, if things continue in the direction we're going its indefensible to not move him by the deadline, and retention/expiring dumps coming back is not a problem.

Only way I’d do this is with an assurance Faber signs.

Well your simply being unreasonable and unrealistic. Just because you say they are doesn't make it fact. Stop acting like player's given extensions or player's like Foligno, faber, Rossi are available. Thank God you aren't the gm

Wouldn't guys that are extended give a higher return value though?

most if not all of these guys aren't available. Hf Isn't real life. Wild under this ownership aren't rebuilding. Fans including myself are mad wild are losing but people take it over the top. Player's like faber who our gm traded fiala for and homeborn player whose the next brodin aren't getting traded.

Yeah, we know that, so let us have our fun here without getting so butthurt about it. If you don't like discussing fantasy trades, this isn't the place for you.

I love when so called “fans” give up on their team not even 20 games into the season. “Oh, my team isn’t doing that great right now, better tank the rest of the season because there’s no way they can turn things around.”

For shame.

Denisenko and Hutsko don't do much, would rather just do two 2nds and the Hornqvist cap dump.

Greenway isn't available, neither I'd foligno. The user is just upset wild are losing. A gm also isn't trading a player like Middleton, Eriksson ek he just resigned to 8 years deal or Kaprizov, Rossi, boldy, etc

Faber is going nowhere. Neither are the other three
So there is no fire sale lol

Foligno would get a lot of interest. Physical guys who can sometimes put up numbers are just limited. Greenway as well.

Yeah. I think Foligno is probably one of those guys who would have a lot more value that the consensus here if he's moved. There are just only so many big physical guys who can actually play and chip in offensively. Exactly the sort of player almost every team is always looking for at the deadline...but rarely actually find available. He's on a pretty reasonable contract too, without too much term left. Conditional 1st rounder wouldn't surprise me at all.

I'd think though, that due to age and contract term, Greenway probably stays. For the same reason everyone else wants big guys who can play, i think the Wild probably want to keep some of them around complement some of the skill they have/intend to bring in over the next few years.

Someone probably also makes a regrettable deadline mistake on Dumba because they need a RHD. But maybe not. It's hard to gauge just how much the jig is up on him being worn out and bad.

Zuc probably doesn't have a lot of value at his age/contract, with questions about how much of his resurgence is Kaprizov-fueled.

Gaudreau and Middleton/Merrill seem like the kind of guys who a team scoops up for a little bit of extra depth for cheap, a pick or middling prospect, but unlikely to yield to sort of "high end offensive prospects" Minnesota are after here. Though term on Middleton probably makes him a guy worth hanging onto for Minny, and a tougher guy to move with Merrill.
