Proposal: Minnesota - Chicago Offseason Blockbuster

If Minnesota loses faith that they will be able to re-sign Kaprizov. There were rumblings coming out last summer of Kaprizov not wanting to sign an extension but admittedly that was before the cap increase was announced. So hey why not?

To Chicago:
Kirill Kaprizov

To Minnesota:
Frank Nazar
Roman Kantserov
Arvid Soderblom's rights
Florida's 26 1st
That would be the TDL rental price for him if we were a competitive team but I wouldn't trade for him unless he were signed to an 8 year deal. At the draft this year if we don't get to pick Misa or Schaefer I'd offer our 2025 1st + Korchinski + Toronto's 2025 1st or FLA's 26 1st. But Kaprizov would have to be signed.

If I had to bet I'd say we just offer Marner a 7 x $14m deal in July though and keep our assets.

Kaprizov’s price to acquire from Chicago would skyrocket. Wild fans would burn the X to the ground if they traded Kaprizov extended for 8 years to Chicago and they go a meh return built on magic beans.

Would rather go after something like Peterka+(+) for Kaprizov (extended). That at least falls in line with what Rantanen returned in a trade.

Why would he stay in Minny then?
because wild are a winning team and were near the top of standings when everyone was healthy. wild also have a bunch of money and will chase superstars this summer to put around him and wild can and will offer more more than anyone. lol . Imagine saying thinking shitty chicago is anything close to MN Lol

They're a 1st round fodder team and have won two rounds since the lockout. They're at best the 6th best team in the West this year even if fully healthy. Which of: Vegas, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Dallas, or Colorado would you put money down for them to beat?? If the playoffs started today they'd draw Las Vegas in the first round, the Knights would sleepwalk to a 2nd round appearance in 5 games.

The wild were in 1st place in the NHL before injuries , long term to Kaprizov, eriksson ek, Jonas Brodin, Jared Spurgeon, Brock faber for a while doomed them. Get out of here with this BS!! Wild also have a bunch of money to spend this summer and the top prospect pool in the NHL to make trades lol. Chicago fans are so laughable. He's not coming to the loser chicago Franchise

Oh wow 30 games into the season, what an accomplishment. The Wild are the same team I've seen them be the last 20 years. Again, who of: Vegas, Colorado, Dallas, Edmonton, or Winnipeg would you bet on them beating?

They arent winning anything , never have , never will . they are AVERAGE . The Blackhawks are building another dynasty , 3 more Cups ?? Maybe , maybe more ?
Good point, Minnesota should just fold it up. Chicago and their murderers row of Sacha Boisvert and Frank Nazar are going to be running roughshod over the Central for the foreseeable future. Why wouldn’t Kap want to sign up to play on the PP with those guys or Teravainen and Bertuzzi?

Fold it up ! When you've got BROCK FABER "The Human Eraser "

lol

Puckpedia’s NHL team tax calculator has Montreal at 53.01% and Minnesota at 46.38% for a $10M salary. That difference is $663,165 per year or $4.64M over 7 years. For a $13M salary, the percentages slightly change to 53.08% and 46.49%. Yearly difference is $856,965 or ~ $6M over 7 years.

“Let’s not act like there’s a huge difference here.”
Nevermind.

Edmonton shouldn't ever be here. They never ever beat a healthy wild team and Connor McDavid always gets shuts down by Jonas Brodin and Jared Spurgeon. lol.
