It's a trade, both sides get to dictate what they want and willing to give up, that's the point of trades and getting a top 10 pick is a good asset. To compromise, we could start from conditional 2026 or 2027 CHI pick (both top 5 protected, CHI can choose).Nah, Chicago doesn't get to dictate terms when they are getting a Kaprizov level player in the deal.
With all that said, even if we started with that 1st + Rinzel, we need a 20-25yr NHL player back. Nazar feels very non-Bill Guerin and Reichel isn't that guy. I don't see us trading with the Chicago, they don't have the pieces we need.
