I'm only stat sheet watching but I find it hard to believe with all the vets on this team that they will be this bad for the entire season. Fingers crossed...

Didn't watch, but Iowa beat SJ and Askarov 4-1 last night. SJ is a good team, second in the West. Wall stopped 31 of 32 shots, and it looks like the addition of Hunt, Ohgren, and Clarke helped, too. Milne and Boyd each had 1g, 1a.

They play SJ again this afternoon. would be quite a statement if they win again, though i doubt Wall plays again.

Probably not good I am watching since they won last two (only saw about 10 min last night). Ferguson in net - has already made some good saves.

Clark definitely a boost for the forwards.

So far fairly even period. Bankier had a few great defensive plays. Haight just had two solid hits. Lambos and ROR have already had their regular turnovers. Lambos had a good block to makeup for his though.

San Jose just took a penalty to stop Bankier from a scoring - would have been a pretty easy finish for him.

Ohgren shelves it on a 5 on 3. Clark sent it down low to someone behind the net and then feeds to Ohgren. Was a nice shot.

Milne and Haight generate a 2 on 1 while on PK - San Jose takes penalty to nullify their PP.

Spacek rips one after faceoff draw is won and pulled back to ROR - ROR one touches pass to Spacek for the one-timer.

Iowa up 2-0.

Great goal! Spacek to ROR to Boyd down to Milne for an easy goal. Haight was causing havoc at the front of the net. 3-0 Wild.

Milne and Haight continue to be best forward duo but Clarke up there. Bankier having a better game but I'd like to see him use his feet more.

Ooh, Spacek just delivered a great pass in O zone after Wild controlled zone for a minute or two. Forward just mishandled but would have been a great scoring opportunity.

Sounds like Walker has been a healthy scratch - I didn't realize it but figured some would want to know.

Haight, who has delivered two or three great hits this game, gets leveled and fight follows - believe it was Cecconi (spelling off). Clean hit IMO. Cutting back into zone and put head down.

San Jose got the PP out of it and scores. Ferguson has been solid - got beat over right shoulder. Good shot.

Haight scores a much needed goal to get it to 4-2. Haven't seen a lot of the period due to the Wild being on but it was an absolute snipe going into zone 1 on 2. Little drag and wrister. NHL level for sure.

And Shore scores with 4 minutes left. 5-2 Iowa. They didn't crumble after giving up 2 goals in the third, so that is a huge change. Three game winning streak.

Ohgren's 3rd game too, right?

Early game today for "School Game Day". Did not see first period.

Tied 1-1, nice goal for 4th line. Walker to Raska to Marek. Raska had 4 assists last weekend and is noticeable every game. If he was an inch or two taller and 10 pounds heavier, would be an ideal option on 4th line.

Soon as I type this, Wild give up a shorty. Their play has been much better last 3 games and through today, but their 1st PP has been simply awful and has given up a lot of shorties. There was a missed penalty on this one but then Hunt got walked and it goes off Ohgren. The PK prior to that had a couple great Hunt plays, so good on PK, mistake on PP.

Spacek fought Watson after ROR got lit up. Actually landed a right but was a clear experience/size matchup.

Ohgren took a lazy stick penalty.

Haight scored on the PP - what a shot. 5th goal. I may be more excited about him than Heidt (may have said that a year ago, too).

Oh my, they just gave up ANOTHER SH goal. Haight kinda flubbed it in offensive zone, then it takes a weird hop on Spacek and I believe it deflects off a Wild player just like the second one did.

Wild down 3-2 at end of 2.

Outshooting GR 35 to 18 but losing 4-2. They should be rejecting their PP opportunities.

Don't blame Wallstedt on 2 of them. Didn't see the first. Last one I thought he played the pass despite the D man taking the 2nd player on the 2 on 1. Thought he should've come out to face the shooter...backed into his net.

GR wins 5-2. Was a mixture of the team that lost first 7 and the one that won the last 3. Some good puck possession and movement/chances and some absolutely terrible PPs and defensive breakdowns.
