  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Joe Smith's Athletic article mentioned above eased my mind, answered my questions, and actually made me hopeful again. Thanks Joe.

Back to AHL.. played last night after a long pause in between games. Got an assist but I have no idea how he played. Just happy he played instead of practiced. It's almost April and he will have several months for dryland training and edge work. Get him some gametime!

As it stands, Minnesota would be picking 21st in this year's draft. So bottom 1/3 of the draft. I expect them to be drafting around there.

Interesting enough right now: Tampa Bay, Edmonton, and Toronto in the next three positions have also traded their first. Colorado, Dallas, Vegas and Florida have also traded theirs. So 8/12 picks from 21-32 have been traded already. That's a lot.

he and his agent were super pushy when he was in columbus about how he should be playing in the NHL (and in the top four) pretty much since the start of the 23-24 season.

it's fair to wonder how much of this is a genuine attitude change versus the agent realizing the optics of doing that to yet another team that doesn't think he's ready.

They forced their hand and now they have no leverage... The only leverage he has left to use is his play, that's a lot of pressure on a young kid.
