Dallas won so they got some distance on the conference lead.
So no it meant something.

That's the one thing that bugged me about the last two games. We didn't show up for a full 60 in either game and that was our chance to make ground on the Conference. It was ours to lose and we lost that advantage.

Kings locked in while the Wild are fighting for their lives, and that's the best they've got? Bunch of pretenders. That team is so overrated it's ridiculous.

We still control our fate for conference. That game with stars will be crucial.

Quick is the better goaltender, but last night nothing was going to get past Dubnyk, he was phenomenal. Most impressed I've been by an opposing goalie in awhile.

I didn't think he was all that impressive. Kings didn't really test him with too many high quality chances having Pearson, Versteeg, Gaborik out.

Edit: I doubt they make it past the first round.

the wild and the avs have no shot IMO. but any of the other 7 teams would not shock me to make it to the western finals.

Opposing teams need to study what the Blues did to Dubnyk a few games ago to get him pulled. Shoot at his feet! One of the worst goalies in the NHL down low.

Quick is better at every aspect of the game. The fact that that is the best the Wild got when fighting for a playoff spot shows what kind of team they have.

Dominated and lost but they did seem to play a soft game. I've loved Lucic all year but he's been invisible for 3 games in a row now, wtf?

Something about the ****ing Wild. Can't ****ing stand anything about them. Kings always lose these garbage 2-1, 1-0 games in St. Paul.

Yep, unfortunately I couldn't agree more... Give me the Predators, Avalanche, Ducks, or Sharks for the playoffs. Just not the Wild.

Well, at least the Ducks & Sharks lost too.

Sucks to lose, but at this point of the season I'm more concerned with form going into the playoffs. Even on the big 7 game roadie, the win/loss results weren't great, but they played well enough to win most of them. The team has been playing good hockey most nights. The Nashville game on the other hand...stinker. First one in a while.

I look at this game as a make up from the Boston game. We were totally outplayed in that game yet won. This one we outplayed them and lost.

1-0 Breakaway By Pearson nearly tied it, they take a stupid Too Many on the ice penalty, 2-0 soon after. It's 3-2 and Shore misses a walk out goal because he's Nick Shore, they made it 4-2 soon after. Kings also had 4 power plays including 2 late in the 3rd when they were down 4-2. Game was full of opportunities, idk if it was a stinker, they just didn't take advantage of their chances, could have easily won that game.

"It was a statement game by the Wild"-Talking head on the NHL Network. :shakehead
I think the guy needs to look up what "statement game" actually means.

Had Muzzin got that memo, he'd have kept the puck on the ice instead of trying to shoot high and right into his chest on the diving save.
