Check scores... Everyone lost today. So at least this game didn't end up meaning anything.
Dallas won so they got some distance on the conference lead.
So no it meant something.

That's the one thing that bugged me about the last two games. We didn't show up for a full 60 in either game and that was our chance to make ground on the Conference. It was ours to lose and we lost that advantage.
Kings locked in while the Wild are fighting for their lives, and that's the best they've got? Bunch of pretenders. That team is so overrated it's ridiculous.
Quick is better goaltender, but last night nothing was going to get past Dubnyk, he was phenomenal. Most impressed I've been by an opposing goalie in awhile.
I didn't think he was all that impressive. Kings didn't really test him with too many high quality chances having Pearson, Versteeg, Gaborik out.
Edit: I doubt they make it past the first round.
Something about the ****ing Wild. Can't ****ing stand anything about them. Kings always lose these garbage 2-1, 1-0 games in St. Paul.
Sucks to lose, but at this point of the season I'm more concerned with form going into the playoffs. Even on the big 7 game roadie, the win/loss results weren't great, but they played well enough to win most of them. The team has been playing good hockey most nights. The Nashville game on the other hand...stinker. First one in a while.

Opposing teams need to study what the Blues did to Dubnyk a few games ago to get him pulled. Shoot at his feet! One of the worst goalies in the NHL down low.
Quick is better at every aspect of the game. The fact that that is the best the Wild got when fighting for a playoff spot shows what kind of team they have.
