Pathetic. **** me. At least Dowd looked good.

Would rather have Dowd in the lineup over AA, maybe even Shore. So many ****ing chances but they couldn't convert, super frustrating to watch. Scuderi paired with Schenn better not be revisited, very slow with almost no mobility.

1. I don't like loading up the #1 line for tonight's game. With Gaborik, Pearson and Versteeg out, there just isn't enough talent in the lineup to roll even 3 capable lines. Also with Suter being such a shutdown guy who plays so many minutes it also doesn't make much sense. Should have had Kopitar with Lucic and Carter with Toffoli, gives you 2 lines capable of scoring.

2. Dowd was really good, I was very very impressed. Makes me wonder why we have been subjected to guys like AA, Shore, Clifford and Nolan all year.

Not mad about it, but sucks to not get points because of 15 seconds of stupidity by your bottom players and a PP goal against on a ****** call, especially when you can't draw a call to save your life, and you're about to play 3 in 4 nights on the road after the **** we've endured in the last week or so.

That being said it took missing an entire line of scoring depth, Dubnyk being drunken master, and the Minnesota Wild playing more boring hockey than the trap-era Devils EVER played to pray out a victory, so meh.

I dunno, man... These are make or break points for the Wild, the Kings have shifted back after clinching, and they were still dominated in absolutely every facet of the game tonight besides the scoreboard.

Average team is average. The goaltending gods were on their side tonight. So it goes.

Can't get mad about this one.
It's not like our boys didn't play.

Duby was on his game but I feel like we didnt get a lot of high quality chances, mustly just junk thrown on net from the outside. oh well. Ducks lost to the Habs so its all good

Also, re Dowd, who was a good bright spot to come out of tonight's game (though he's certainly going to be confused in his next game, which will be his first in the NHL)

Something about the ****ing Wild. Can't ****ing stand anything about them. Kings always lose these garbage 2-1, 1-0 games in St. Paul.

With Gaborik & Versteeg out it's difficult to spread out the offense between the lines because you end up with someone like Carter wasting their night with Clifford/Brown. Add to that Pearson out and there just isn't enough offensive depth to spread out over 3-4 lines. This isn't the end of the world. Good the Kings have to fight for it right now and find ways of winning. Could be a nice boost when guys start coming back.

Dowd's looking good too. Like the energy and he doesn't handle the puck like a grenade.

-1 goal at ES against Minnesota this season, and 2 for the Wild.
-3 PP goals for the Wild, and 1 SH.
-3 goals total, 2 by Toffoli, and an OT winner by Kopitar.
-Koivu with 2 PPG for the Wild, Haula with 2, and Parise and Coyle with 1 each.
-108 shots on net, 72 shots on net against.

1-2 against Minnesota, 1-2 against Colorado, and 2-1 against Nashville for the year. 4-5 total, and 3 of the wins came at 3v3.

Pearson was missed.

Dowd already looks better than AA and Clifford.

Overall what can you do, the shot attempt differential is ridiculous. I don't blame the Wild, they are scratching and clawing just to get in.
