I don't think we tried to trade Hyman's rights. There was an offer for a sign and trade but Edmonton refused to pay for that.

Sixth on the team in scoring while only 12th in ice time (and without top PP time). In fact, at even strength his line is exactly the same as JTs (2G, 2A), while playing almost a minute less per game.

In any case, Dubas has to somehow find bottom 6 players that can produce in the playoffs as it's become a pattern that the top guys aren't getting it done in the later series games. Mik will cost too much and there's no history that he can be one of those guys, outside of ENers.

Mika is unnecessarily loved around here. Decent player no doubt. But not worth the price tag.

Ovi spent a lot more time on the ice this year when the other team had pulled their goalie, and he was firing at the empty net from his own end.

Nothing to do with the playoffs, and I wouldn't even suggest it was his idea.

Great PKer. Speed. But below overage offensive IQ and average shot (use to be better before his multiple hand injuries).

To me he's just a player with speed who can hound pucks down, not much else there to justify him being a top 6 player, unless you don't have anyone better and want to gamble on hidden potential with the extra minutes.

Not a player I'd pay more than 2.5m for, but other teams might see it differently. Like another poster mentioned, he's in the same bracket as Kapanen IMO

I don't know if your being sarcastic but Dubas was the GM who signed Tavares not Lou, but I do think regardless of GM he was coming home...you don't say no to talent like that coming for free, even if in retrospect now, it hasn't panned out.
