When Omaha is waaaay worsest team in the league with awful -40 goal differential, Yegorov is top-5 goalie with 91.2%. I will not dive into SA, HDSA, xGA and all of this per game, I just believe he will face tonns of practice and looks like he is doing it better with time. So good to see.truthfully, i dont hate this. obviously, those types of totals are obscene, and i wish omaha wasnt the tire fire it is, but i kinda like him facing a lot of shots on a regular basis. gives him more exposure to high danger chances/greater overall pressure, gets him more reps with breakdowns and follow-up attempts, really sort of puts a spotlight on him if he misjudges an angle or fails to track the puck or overshoots his crease (since the guys in front of him arent gonna bail him out)
if yegorov didnt have the mental fortitude and bounce back ability that he does, i might be more concerned, but this guys pretty unshakable. and even further, for a player like him who is still fairly raw, i want that high workload, i want that level of exposure/experience under his belt. to me, this is preferable to him being 3rd string in college or, compared to some others in his class, hidden behind a really dominant junior defense posting much better numbers
May be we will finally develop our own goalie. I want to believe. At least he has some legit reasons to be a pain in the balls for opponents.
