IIRC, that was John Tortorella's 1st season training camp. Not a full summer (no one is signing up for that), but 3 days at West Point. I think the Rangers have repeated that team building format a few times since too.That's... actually not a bad idea
Holy shit what an embarrassing take.He is interested in his music career more than his hockey career. Should have picked a DJ as a career and hockey as a hobby. Sell high on him
Consider the source of the comment. He’s the same one that wants us to sign every shitty player that goes on the waiver wire.Holy shit what an embarrassing take.
This is almost as cringe as some Bills fans criticizing Josh Allen for going to Mexico with Hailee Steinfeld this summer. Players are allowed to have lives. Mika's put up 371 points over the last 5 season's and his coming off a career high of 91.
You don't achieve that type of production in the NHL without an enormous amount of effort, training and commitment.
Yes. NHL ice is only 0.25 to 0.5 inches thick. He's on thin ice this upcoming season.
Thinner than I thought, tbh.Yes. NHL ice is only 0.25 to 0.5 inches thick.
Close. 3/4.Yes. NHL ice is only 0.25 to 0.5 inches thick.
You don’t want anything more than an inch. Pond hockey shit. Ice gets softer and softer as you play which f***s everyone up.Thinner than I thought, tbh.
I would have thought at least an inch thick
Sounds like the RangersYou don’t want anything more than an inch. Pond hockey shit. Ice gets softer and softer as you play which f***s everyone up.

No it isn't. It's is usually 1.25-1.5 thick. A quarter inch of ice would have the paint gone after warmups or the cloth logos coming out of the ice during play.Yes. NHL ice is only 0.25 to 0.5 inches thick.
And opposed to it being coaching its just simply the player being a notoriously slow starter in this case. Shot will and handles will improve a few more games in. And his line has been excellent and he's been a part of that.Except for last year, Mika usually starts the season unable to skate in a straight line without falling, can't stickhandle, nor can he receive a pass cleanly or hit someone with a pass in stride. So he's actually off to a good start (yay?)
He NEEDS to start shooting from the slot more in all situations, more wrist shots on the PP when guys are in front screening instead of a complete ironclad focus on one timers or one time passes, and just more shooting overall at 5 on 5
I actually don’t think Mika has looked too bad. He should of ripped that Kakko pass the other night, but aside from that his attitude hasn’t been that fake mopey “competitor” persona that Kreider still does. He seems happy and has been physical to start this season. Dad strength > Dad bod.
I would still move his contract in a heartbeat if I could, but I think the chemistry is still building between that top line.
He’s an amazing 2C who is put in a position he shouldn’t be in.
