I don’t understand why you keep making these threads on the main boards, They are redundant and create no conversation that isn’t repeated in a half-dozen other existing threads.

Ok the Jackets will take K'Andre Miller off your hands, out of pity of course. You don't need to retain.

Mika will have to stay in NYR for the next six years and give you all nightmares.

Can anybody tell me why yall hate KAM? Yall were hyping him up at one point.
He has possibly the worst hockey sense of any player I have ever seen. Players who think the game as poorly as he does don't usually get to the NHL. In the D zone, he is a nightmare. If you can cycle just a little, you're going to lure him out to the half wall or behind the net. He can't help it. Zero concept of a defenseman protecting the front of the net and on the snowballs chance he does stay on front, he gets outmuscled and doesn't stop anyone from doing their job. And to this day, the hardest hit he's ever thrown was on Filip Chytil. You can find more physicality in an oldtimer men's league.

I have never seen a bigger player that is easier to get around. He gets walked like a dog so frequently you lose count. 6'5", massive reach. Seems like it would be a challenge. KAMs hockey brain is set on rookie. Useless player. Every tool in the box, but he ain't no carpenter. He couldn't build a bird house. Doesn't have a clue.

I would love to say it's coaching but he's gotten worse, not better. But he is cemented into the top 4. He's not coming out. No matter what. If Dolan had a kid who played defense for the Rangers, he's getting scratched before KAM. That's been established and IMO is one of the main problems destroying this team, inequitable consequences.

I don't care If He moves on and wins a Norris. I have had it with him. Get him the F out of here.

These two guys were big contributors to the Rangers winning the Presidents’ trophy just last season. Imo they would get rid of Zib if they could move off all his contract without taking much back. Miller, though? Don’t see the Rangers moving on there.

strong disagree on KAM
yeah, occasional bonehead mistake but that is also more combo of
- trying to do too much
- used to overcompensating for I can't skate any more Trouba
- lack of correct D partner/chemistry

do not want to sell low on him esp after incredibly stupid selling short on KK

this poster and OP are wrong on KAM

Nobody is going to assume the rest of Zibanejads contract event with attention, that NMC is killer.

I’d do Mika for Josh Anderson at this point and even the Habs say no. Mika is done. Cooked. This not a fluke I’d rather not play him. He hurts the team more when he is on the ice.

I see very few even mention it but the real issue with Mika is not "his age = automatic decline", he's not 40 years old, he's a man completely out of shape and it's destroyed his game. We all see him huffing and puffing out there on his shifts, you think because he's 31 that means he's just done? Cooked as they say? The man hasn't changed a god damn thing about his routine or any off-ice habits in the past 5 years and that's a huge no-no in the NHL if you want to stick around. It's all about adaptability.

Chop the f***ing hair off, get in shape this off-season and shed the papi pounds, then come back and see how things go.

It's really that simple guys.

So how long does this losing stretch have to last until rags fans stop playing gatekeeper and allows these threads to be made? Seems to be plenty of discussion in this one and the other ones.

So what happened with Miller? Rangers fans had been talking him up pretty strongly for a while and then…just a case of good physical tools that looked good and then no progression?

Miller's having a rough year, but he's had a good enough previous track record and is young enough that there's a lot of GM's that would chalk it up to one bad year where the entire team looks a mess.

Mika's 31, and has been trending downward for multiple years now. No GM is touching that contract with a 10 foot pole.
