Since this is basically the All-Star break, here are some thoughts on who probably leads in the team awards categories:
Cyclone Taylor Trophy is (MVP, voted by the fans) - Easy choice for Quinn Hughes.
Walter "Babe" Pratt Trophy (best defenceman, voted by fans) - Another easy choice for Hughes, obviously. Since fans tend to vote for the latest intrigue, I dare say that if Hughes weren't on the team I'll bet they'd vote D-Petey.
Cyrus H. McLean Trophy (leading scorer) - Currently also Hughes, and pretty unlikely to be anyone else barring serious injury ()
Fred J. Hume Award (unsung hero, voted by fans) - This award almost never actually goes to an unsung hero, but rather "the non-star player who attains the most hype during the year". Often the team messages it strongly themselves (e.g. Dorsett, Granlund, Motte) and the fans buy in. So this year it'll probably be Kiefer Sherwood, or possibly Kevin Lankinen, even though both have been extremely "sung". Maybe Conor Garland is actually deserving here, and even an outside shot at Pius Suter. My own pick for this, in the true spirit of the award, is probably actually Derek Forbort.
Three Stars Award - Have to assume Hughes is running away with this, but if not likely Lankinen. We know Jake Debrusk weirdly won the Molson Cup for, I believe, the Only Time They've Presented it Since 1998.
Pavel Bure Most Exciting Player Award as voted by fans. They often choose an attention-grabbing player who isn't the MVP, or an "emerging player" more than anyone. It's hard not to choose Hughes here again on a literal reading, but given past winners (e.g. Nils Höglander in 2021, Kuzmenko in 2023, Kassian in 2014) this could very well be, say, Garland or, like, Debrusk.
Daniel & Henrik Sedin Award (CSE panel selection for outstanding community leadership) - I feel that I mostly see guys like Suter or Teddy Blueger at hospital visits? Hard to say here.
