I want him to do well and win. Randy Orton I think said it once, if he does well, it validates what wrestlers do.
Lesnar, Lashley and Ken Shamrock already did that.
"No, I don't think so. But it is one of those "never say never" things. I like to cover all my bases, just so some internet dweeb is going to be like, 'you said you'd never wrestle again!' But WWE? No. Absolutely not. But you never know, I could pop up here and there. Let me explain that to you even better... it's not going to even be televised, it's going to be me in a ninja f--king outfit wrestling one of my buddies and nobody's ever going to know. It's going to be very 'Monty Python' so to speak."
“Back in 2011, my contract was up and they were trying to re-sign me, and they were trying to re-sign me for low-ball figures. That’s what they do to the guys. They’re indentured servants. They try to pay them the smallest amount of money you can possibly pay them, there’s no health insurance, you’re responsible for your own travel, hotel, and food on the road, and home once a day, maybe. And, I did that ten years to get to WWE, and then I did it ten years there. My gas tank was empty in that regard.
“In 2011, it was kind of hanging in the balance there. I made the decision to re-sign. It’s not that I regret that decision. It’s just that if I did not re-sign, I would have dedicated myself 100 percent to this. That chapter of my book is over with. And now I 100 percent dedicate to this now. It’s just later than I anticipated. And it’s a bitter challenge now because I’m older.”
“I was surrounded by a lot of old-timers on the independent scene before I went to WWE,” Punk said. “They were always like, ‘Kid, you gotta get out. You gotta get in to get out. You can make a stupid amount of money, but you stick around, you wear out your welcome, something bad is going to happen.’ Curt Hennig told me that. Harley Race told me that. Guys that were legends in the sport and made their money until they didn’t get out. So, I said I’m going to listen to the old, wise wages, and get in to get out.”
Jesus the hate is so weird for a guy wanting to do something he has interest in.
Whatever you guys are doing IRL, I hate you and you all deserve to fail because you're doing something you want to do.

Maybe nothing at all. But I'm sure there's people snickering at the idea of a 'fake wrestler' trying to take on UFC fighters in real fights. CM Punk winning sends a good message for 'fake wrestlers'.How would a CM Punk UFC win validate what wrestlers do? What from his pro wrestling training and experience will help CM Punk in MMA?
If anyone's interested, the Evolution of Punk, which is a 4-part series, debut last night on FS1 in the United States and will debut tonight on the Fight Network in Canada at 9:30pm. It's about his journey and transition from wrestling to the UFC, and has been following him around since December 2014 or around that period.
I can't wait to see him get his face punched in. Guy deserves to get his ass kicked.
Then I hope Dana White fires him, via written letter, the next day.
For Canadians: Part One of the CM Punk thing to air on TSN on Thursday at 9:30PM.
