The wings shoulda just made the playoffs last year, the sports in Detroit would be all the way back. Tigers are going to be a tough out. I wouldnt want to be playing against Skubal with the Tigers bull pen in a short series

Their era as a team actually improved after he was traded pitching with bullpen days. So its wild to think about how good he was that they actually improved when he left, but having an actual player at short ended up much better for this team than a stud pitcher

They needed to get a shortstop so they could operate. Would be nice to have Flaherty, but getting Sweeney turned out to be an absolute necessity. He's got 1.1 WAR in Detroit already. So like a 5 WAR player over the course of a whole year.

I wasnt too happy about the week 5 bye at the start of the year but honestly they need to get healthy now anyways so it worked out

Honestly, any bullpen in playoff team in history that didn't have a guy named Rivera will make their fans shit themselves. Today just stirred up dormant feelings that haven't been felt in quite a while.

Hate these these games are scheduled smack in the middle of the work day. I was holed up in the office, glued to the box score and audio, sweating out the 9th inning hoping no one barged in. Great start for the Tiges, closing it out today would be electric.

I'd think that giving the higher seed the first two games and the lower seed the third game (if necessary) would be manageable. But in this case hopefully the Tigers sweep the Astros and it's a moot point.

Tork should have got the out at home. Matt Vierling double clutching like a chud also cost a run. He settled down, but his defense let him down, he should be fine...hopefully.
