But hey wait a minute, many people have said and are saying both passionately and with complete belief that officials are completely impartial, never shade their calls, never allow personal feelings to intrude on their professionalism and certainly don't know what the morning line or what the over under might be. Choir boys seem questionable next to them.

Of course they claim that, everyone knows the league/refs have biases towards and against certain players. Bunting is on the NHLs shitlist, but I don't blame them. Cernak is out AGAIN, I thought the suspension was overkill but it seems like a serious injury.

I agree from the standpoint of actual on ice contributions but from a distraction and upped ref bias against when he on the ice it’s a big problem. One that he has created for himself

Yeah if and when Bunting comes back he needs to just play his game and talk shit. Stop getting rattled. He’s got enough skill to have a positive impact but that only happens if he cools it.

I agree but while he gains the trust of the refs back he is going to take a pounding from Tampa

I guess though that Cernak driving Bunting into the boards head first and on the numbers is of little concern because there was no injury:rolleyes:

How is it possible that Zacha doesn't get a fine for doing the exact same (slightly worse) than Lafferty?

Wouldn't dream of taking Jarnkrok out either but that has little to do with Bunting not getting back in the lineup.

I swear, is Bunting the "the most sought after free agent next year" or is he too big a risk to even be used in the playoffs? A dreaded beast the likes of Matt Cooke?

...or is a less physical higher scoring Barnaby type guy and the league has singled him out for some reason?

How about our hometown scribes write about that instead of chasing imaginary hotdogs carts.....
You said "put him back on the first line where he belongs". I was just pointing out that Jarnkrok seems to 'belong' there at least as much.

No problem with Bunting playing again, although I would leave him out if we win tonight, but I'd say third line with JT rather than first.

Bunting doesn't belong on this team anymore this series (maybe visit that decision next round if they make it)

He's too unsavoury for the refs and will be a distraction.

The only way he's worth returning to the line-up this series is if Tampa wants to kill him bad enough they go out of their way to punish him and we go on the power play a million times.

Maybe for ZAR, but even that I’m not sure

Bunting has done nothing to deserve benefit of the doubt

ZAR and the 4th line has been our most consistent line. Absolutely no reason for them to change
Bunting will come in when there's an injury

Michael Bunting was 5th on the team in scoring this year... I cannot see Keefe healthy scratching him... even though I struggle to find a forward that I'd take out for him.

That being said, there is a logic in putting him in -- he has the ability to set a reasonable chunk of Tampa's team off and draw a couple of penalties... in a game where composure will mean everything.

If i had to wager a guess, prior to OT tonight, it might have been Kerfoot on the outside looking in. Now, I'd imagine that he goes for Zach Aston Reese, and perhaps Kerfoot finding his way onto the 4th line.

Bunting spent time on the 4th line this season and produced zero there

He's doesn't kill penalties, something Laff and ZAR both do, and is probably the worst defensive forward on the team

Acciari is a hitting machine who is producing on the 3rd line right now, why mess with that?

Bunting only produces when he is attached to Matthews, Marner or Nylander, but they all produce at a higher clip without him

Going to be interesting. I agree with the posters that say, unless there is an injury keep the same line up.
why mess with what is working no matter how ugly it looks for 50 minutes of each game

Look around the league and you'll see a lot of teams barely playing 4th liners. Doesn't necessarily mean one of them is coming out. Though it's certainly possible.
That would be ok if they slot Bunting in on the 5th for those 7-8 minutes but if they put him back on the tops line it’s a huge risk

He's 100% coming back into the lineup
I sure hope not

The question is: is Keefe gonna Keefe and pull a whole scratching a decent performing Robertson (I think) for a Johansson who is coming off of a long term injury in an elimination game next game (i.e., bunting for anyone)?

Bunting has done nothing to deserve to be dressed.

I hope it's ZAR, Lafferty has been laying hard hits and playing hard at times, was ZAR on the ice for any of the games? Completely invisible

Interesting. I thought the exact opposite lmao, I noticed ZAR laying the body and Lafferty basically being invisible other than falling over the bench after last nights OT winner

But one of those 2 should come out for Bunting. I'd keep Bunting in the bottom 6 though, I have a bad feeling he's gonna take a dumb penalty at a crucial moment.

I’m just hoping Keefe doesn’t take Knies out of the lineup for Bunting.

I think the easiest switch would be Bunting in, Lafferty out.

Dressing bunting is risky. Im sorry but I don’t trust him when we are so close. If we lose on Thursday then yeah fine.
