Michael Bournival

I'd be fine with that. That opens up vanek to play with pleks.

You are joking, right?

Pleks, our best defensive center playing with Vanek, our worst defensive forward?

Sort of neutralizes Plekanec's effectiveness.

A bump for his great play in Game 3. I really hope he continues to play, his speed gives the bruins fits on the forecheck and he plays smart too.

Vanek was playing with Plekanec today. Why do you think we were playing plekanec with KOvalev? Kovalev was also a liability defensively. Vanek is bad defensively but Plekane can make up for it and he is also a center which is he is responsible for.

Never should have been removed from Pleks' line during the regular season like many people here correctly identified. He has been terrific in the playoffs on whichever line he's been on, such a pest on the forecheck as evidenced again tonight when he got the play started on the 1st goal. Gauthier can get a ton of props for that trade.

Bournival is not a real top-6 player, but if he can substitute on the top-6 when some or many of the top-6 are injured.

Bournival should ultimately fit real well with Eller.
The Kid has been nothing but RESPONSIBLE All year.
Get those two the RIGHT right winger and look out. :handclap:

It worked tonight and I am pleased with the results.

Not the first time I had a wrong opinion on a hockey message board.;)

Love having this kid in the line up, brings it every shift and the playoffs seem to be bringing out the best in him.

Bourni forced management in training camp and has Never been the worse player on the ice
at any time this year for the Habs.

I agree, I feel that Bournival and Gallagher are the spark plugs for this team, even in the regular season whatever line they were put on was made better.

IMO, Bournival is getting the "Rookie" treatment, i.e. not too much too fast. I don't see what other reason this guy should be out of the lineup. As stated before he has never been the worst player in uniform on any given night and has speed. No excuses.

I was thinking of that comparison. Maybe Bournival could do for Vanek and Plekanec what Gally does for Max and DD. They both forechck hard and win puck battles with their non-stop motor, creating spaces for their linemates.

yup yup and yup

really excited that vanek produced while being off the DD line. That's going to give Julien headaches.

I'm sure people remember that Bournival had that winning assist to win the Memorial Cup . Dude seems to rise to the occasion.

I pretty much love every forward in our lineup tonight.

Players like Bournival are crucial at this time of the year, rookie or not. Speed and energy creates the space to make good plays.

Bournival cannot be taken out of this lineup. Not for Galchenyuk, not for anybody else. Moen or Brière goes when Galchy is ready.

Exactly what I've been saying about MP's game.
Forget about scoring use your speed to create havoc.
The goals will come and nobody gives a crap who ultimately pots them.
It just doesn't matter at this time of year.
I really hope someone in management can sell him on this.
He was better last night but far from optimum.

Bodes Well?

Bournival is a beast on the forecheck.

Speed demon.

We now have 3 dangerous offensive lines and a fourth that could cause trouble (and each line has at least one or more solid two- way player):

**Bournival - *Pleks - Vanek
*Pacioretty - DD - Gallagher
*Bourque - *Eller - *Gionta
Moen - Briere/White? - **Weise

Gorges - **Subban
Markov - Emelin
Murray/Bouillon - Weaver

**: speed demon
*: fast/quick

He's got speed, he's got the shot, he's got the determination and the brains. He's a great forechecker. He's definitely got the potential to be a good agressive winger on a 2nd line.

He'll never be an offensive dynamo, but he can hit 40-50 pts i'm sure.
