I caught the parade under the huge hanging flag before 12th, and then watched the rally under the trees on the left on 12th and constitution. Shade and breeze today was awesome. I loved seeing Ovi lift the cup in person. I think Ovi had forgotten to say his line, and so they turned off the music for him to do his now classic not going to ****ing be suck line.

I love when reporters ask drunk Ovi dumb questions and Tom starts singing we are the champions to save him. A true teammate.

There was a security event at Smithsonian metro. They closed the metro entrance and police taped off a HUGE part of the area including even folks chilled on the mall grass all the way up to 13th. I saw a K9 being run around outside. Probably all standard protocol stuff. I asked a cop what happened. Minor police event There were probably 20 emergency vehicles. Maybe more.

Dammit, I must have been within 20 feet of you. Next time, we need HFBoard tshirts with our handles.

We were all within 20 feet of each other. I was in the shade right on the street between 12th and 13th.

yeah the space directly in front of the stage was filled. I'm a few feet behind them, like 20 or 30 ft

Only bad thing is that it's kinda pointless to go to the bathroom. the crowd is nuts. they're throwing towels in the crowd, Michael Jenkins is a few feet behind me taking shots off air

I was in the front row, so we were close if you were on the left side. My son threw about 100 towels back.

I was there. Long hot day staking out a decent spot at the rally point but worth it in the end. It was rough on my 7 year old but he hung tough and made it to almost the end.

My fav moments were Ovi and the Cup approaching in his bus and the soundcrew cranking 'smells like teen spirit'. Also when Backstrom was introduced once the players were all together. He just seems so appreciative of the fans and it showed. Ovi getting up and asking for more then the crowd going off on a BACKY BACKY BACKY chant. He loved it so much

He was in the fountain almost the entire time. At the history museum. Fetching pennies and then tossing them back. Matchbox cars in the water. Outside of the dead fish smell, it was a nice safe play area for him. The Caps socks are outside right now, defunktifying.

What was the official head count?!

Oh yeah! We are in 3 out of the 4 pictures. Kid #8 and cap on my shoulders, straight down from the ladder. Beige shorts. No number reebok caps quick dry. Seriously that water smelled like dead fish.

My kid was basically in front of you for a lot of the parade, and I am sure many helicopter parents were irked I was no wheres nearby. Whenever he got in front of you I would corral him back. My spot was great. I will have to go through my vids and spot you.

Ran into a a Metro Transit Cop at my kids after school program. Asked him how his day went. He said it was a busy day but a good day. Most well behaved large crowd he’s worked in a long time.

I stumbled onto the perfect spot. The beauty of that spot for me, was that I had an extra 100 eyes on my kid as I fumbled about with my phone trying to make videos of Ovi hoisting the cup. If he jetted in the other direction, I know someone with kids would have run down and grabbed him for me. The beauty of being surrounded by fellow minded folks. If you were on the early side of the parade, you should be in the picture I posted.

July.....D camp!

This is my choice as well. Less stress, we can get lunch together down at the food court or a decent restaurant. Also if you are into this kind of thing you can get tons of autographs and pictures of the kids. I have my son with Burka and Bowey in 2013 and Vrana and Gersich in 2014. Three (or four ) future Cup Champs baby!!!!

Great time to shop for swag to as Kettler will be overloaded. Yes, I think it will be packed this time, normally not so much, but maybe if we all hit day two, it won't be so bad. I have been to every camp, except last season (no first rounder), since 2010, it is a lot of fun.
