gets a good scoring chance in front of the net, scrum after the whistle and punhes Moroz. Knights were down 4-2 (pretty much over already but still). OK score, 5-2.

Damn, well from what I've seen he at least looks better than Moroz in terms of playing ability.

definately having more scoring chances ... can't say we've seen a whole lot of Moroz

London in deep now, have to beat Guelph to stay alive. Val d'Or vs. Guelph tomorrow and Val d'Or vs. Guelph on tuesday.

I liked Mads Eller's game quite a lot tonight, it was my second time seeing him in action and he keeps making smart plays. You can't help but be reminded of his brother when you watch him, similar size, skating ability and motor. I'd be hard pressed to pinpoint his offensive ceiling though, he does show some flashes but he might be more of a 3rd liner down the road. Definitely worth a look in the later rounds in my opinion

just remember he is about the same size as lars (maybe bigger) being like 6 years younger(I think) and he loves playing physical. :handclap:

He also stood out for me and last game had a bit of an emotional breakdown on the bench(forget what happened) but I remember liking that passion. If he could be a mean Eller Mads would drive a lot of people nuts.

Moronz sold that big time..made it look like he was shot form the press box. McCarron shoved him in the neck area and he went down like Monica Lewinsky. Mac should have restrained himself, but at least we know he has some intensity. He was not happy with the loss last night....that's better than the Joe Thornton approach.

I'm not too worried, he'll learn. Reading the guys on here, he gave the GWG to Edmonton, but then I read that it was the 5-2 goal. That doesn't make the gesture any smarter though.

Rest assured Mathletic will come out of the woodwork when anything remotely resembling a negative in regards to Mac occurs. There was three minutes left in the game down two....he didn't cost them anything other than some extra negativity from the press and critical Hab fans.

Mathletic's not a fan of Big Mac, that's for sure. No need to go for nicknames though.;)

Personally I though Mac had a pretty good game, he was definitely one of the more noticeable Knights out there ( Well with what little playtime he got at least) . I don't really blame him for the late game penalty either, I'm with Grant there, that was a total sell job by Moroz, all that was missing was the classic 1980's Ric Flair begging off move :P . His coach certainly didn't seem to mind it too much as he put him on the ice right out of the box, I think he kinda liked to see that intensity from him ( and Hunter is definitely familiar with late game antics himself from his playing days, he would know the difference between being angry and being stupid ) .
His skating sure has improve a lot from what I saw at the beginning of the season too, I'd say mobility wise he's already pretty close to where he'd want to be for the pro game and he'll only get better in the next few years. At the very least he isn't the slug this article suggest he is http://tvasports.ca/hockey/proner-la-patience-avec-mccarron-18052014

On a side note, I don't remember who but someone mentioned on the forum his stick look way too long and was a hindrance when he had to get to the puck in tight quarters and it really showed at times. I wounder if someone on the coaching staff could mention trying a shorter stick to him next season.

no offense but go on the main board and you'll get as many negative responses about his play on Moroz. Did Moroz sell it? sure, was the game already out of hand? pretty much, was it a dumb play? for sure as well. That said, Knights were in deep already and it may be their second to last game of the season. That was just a stupid play to make and take any chances they had left to come back in this one. It's not like it's impossible to come back from 2 goal deficits with 3 minutes left, Avalanche did it on a couple of occasions.

Everyone has their favorites, I like Mantha you don't. You like Mac and I'm not a big fan. No need to call anyone names over those things.

... btw, kinda funny I couldn't come remotely to disagreeing with the Hunters earlier this season

... just to show a few

Wow, McCarron kills London chance and...he plays in the last minute. Unreal. Should play more before, doesn't. Then does a stupid thing and his coach gets him in the action. I guess it's just to not have his stars be hurt for the rest of the tournament.

Wow, get that goon McCarron off the ice.

Stupid Stupid Stupid Stupid penalty!

Stupid penalty.

Selfish and stupid. But I don't know that it woulda mattered

Rest assured Mathhole

C'mon, that's just weak.

McCarron still has another shot at ending his season on a high note if he can do something against Guelph, win or lose. Guelph does seem like a monster of a team though, tons of good NHL prospects as well as Robby Fabbri.

Hopefully I can leave work early and check it out.

Impressive game by Guelph again tonight. Haven't watched the whole game yet but hoped it would have lasted a bit longer tonight. Great pass by Fabbri on that first goal. Gotta watch out on those big hits though.

Griffin Reinhart has always been something of an enigma to me.I must have seen him play around 20 times in the last 4 years and I still don't understand how he got drafted 4th overall in the big league...He always just strikes me as an average at best stay at home defenseman type with very little upside . His skating in particular looks slow and clumsy and for a big guy his physical game is basically non existent. I'm I missing something here ?

I thought the same thing. And still do. He will be a NHL'er. But it CLEARLY didn't deserve a 4th overall pick.

I would work night and day to improve Pollock's skating. He is worth it.
