Nothing to solve there, he may leak like a broken umbrella. And their backup is even worse.

Philly is the best matchup goalie-wise. Bobrovsky is the better one.

He's not a bad goalie and have you seen his record against us? If emery plays we win. I do agree that we have the better goalie and that Philly does have the worst goalies of the 3 teams we're talking about.

God. I remember that series and how Lindros ran all over the Rangers. Gretzky was awesome but that was the best he played for us. Time for payback.

Lindros's game-winner with less than 10 seconds left in Game 4 still haunts me to this day. Please win.

The Flyers are definitely beatable. Their team defense is downright bad. The NHL playoffs is in large part about team defense and goaltending. The Rangers do both far better than the Flyers. Being a bunch of tough guys doesn't mean as much as they like to think it does.

I love when the Rangers play Philly because the games are exciting but losing to them... not so much. Finally an actual rivalry series that I care about. If we played the Caps this year again I would have lost it.

We need carcillo to draw the attention to himself, so the dirtbags leave zucc and McD alone. Thursday can't come soon enough.

how nash just smiled during the post game interview when talking about PHI just got me super excited.

As was I. Maybe he's finally liking the taste of this thing called the playoffs he missed so many times in Columbus.

If the defense plays like they can the Rangers will win this in 6 at most. The Flyers don't have the trump card in their goalie that scares me, Mason or Emery. If we played Montreal or TB (with Bishop), I wouldn't be worried about controlling the play but would be terrified of Price/Bishop.

Rangers fan born and raised in Pennsylvania right here. Hockey is pretty important amongst my general group of friends, even the area itself seems very passionate about the sport and the Flyers. This series means the world to me and I want nothing more than to take this. This is like my alternate to a Stanley Cup. I already have bets against friends and I've been hearing it for weeks about them taking us down. I've been wanting this moment after since the shootout loss that sent us packing in the final game. I want blood and tears. Just win...

This will be a tough, low scoring series. Heart says Rangers, head says Flyers. Ugh!

I think this statement speaks volumes as to how good this series will truly be. As a Flyers fan, I think the exact opposite. Heart says Flyers, head says Rangers.

Should be an absolute beauty. Thursday cant come fast enough!

I think literally EVERY series in the east will be amazing. The west has a few boring-ass teams like the Kings that I hate with a passion. Blues and Kings will probably make their series boring, but I'd say a good 6 out of 8 series will be great. The league has come a long way since the terrible 11-12 playoffs.

The arenas will be rabid for the start of games 1 & 3 at the very least.

I go with defense, goaltending & coaching, though the Flyers' physicality is an ex-factor.

Rangers in 5.

i know a lot of ppl are intimidated by the Flyers and all that.

but i gotta be honest. i dont see this being a close series at all.

Rangers in 5.

Very debatable. I think the real x-factor (outside of the obvious(goaltending)) would be the Flyers scoring depth. McDonagh is a fantastic defenseman will get matched up against Giroux. The key for the Flyers is get offense from lines 2-3. The key for the Rangers is stopping the Flyers depth. The Flyers have 7 20 goal scores. So that should be important. I have a hard time not seeing this series go at least 6 games, maybe 7. Should be awesome. :yo:

Well, Philly is a good offensive team. They get their chances no matter who they play.

They are not too different from Chicago in that regard IMO.

And I don't know what to expect from Mason in this series at all. On the other hand we pretty much know what Hank will give us.

On a side note, I think Kreider would have been a treat to see in this series. Shame he will miss it.
