Hey guys, this may be me being optimistic, especially considering we played 3 bottom feeders, but is it possible that the McDonagh injury was a blessing in disguise? We allowed 8 goals in 5 games and played some very good defense without him. Imagine adding him if he's healthy and not rusty? We played amazing D against Montreal without him AND G. Really really encouraging, IMO. I think the Rangers have ridiculous confidence now defensively.

God. I remember that series and how Lindros ran all over the Rangers. Gretzky was awesome but that was the best he played for us. Time for payback.

We were so banged up after the Devil series. Not too mention we caught so many breaks in that series with disallowed goals due to the crease rule. Had Eastwood, Berg and Flatly not become injured we would have made it a better series. Lindros was an animal that season but the Wings had no issues with him.

Anyway that's all in the distant past. Let's focus on the present. I have been saying all year Philly is over rated. I can't believe that they have done as well as they have. We have the better team overall with more depth plus Lundqvist own the Flyers.

I'm thinking the Rangers in 5.

Last year was Mothers Day and if the Rangers made it to a game 7 against the Devils 2 seasons ago it would have been on Memorial day. It is all about television money and not the paying fan!

I agree with you but I seem to remember a lot of people upset on this Board about the Rangers playing on Mothers day last year and the prices being very low for a game 6. Maybe it is because of the Flyers but the demand for tickets is very strong for this series.

On the brightside: Games 1-4 span over a week. Good for getting Kreider back in the lineup.

That would be huge . Obviously want him 100 percent healthy but those wheels and size could bring some awesome pressure on the flyer defense .
