Genius. 24:12 over the course of 11 games comes out to 2:12 PP time PER GAME. Wowie, he has one assist in that time.
Meanwhile 4:21 over the course of 9 games comes out to 0:29 PP time PER GAME. You think it's odd that McDonagh has ONE less assist playing 1:43 less PP time per game, over less games to boot (2:12 p/g over 11 vs 0:29 p/g over 9)?
This is quite possibly the worst argument I've EVER seen made on these boards. As the poster you were responding to said; even this injured version of McD is still top 4 on this team. Diaz is the 7th. One regular season point in significantly more time doesn't make up the difference between Diaz and even this version of McDonagh, and you also underrate the importance of having McDonagh there, on the bench and on the ice as a leader. He's likely the captain of the team. You're not going to scratch him to play a limited use, mediocre puck mover, especially when you can just as simply scratch John Moore and have almost no effect on the lineup while still bringing in this key PP player with his one point. I can't believe I even just read a post this bad. And I'm not talking about you as a poster overall. I know you've made plenty of good ones too, but this one is just really poorly thought out. You clearly didn't do the math on this one.
We should be playing two fresh guys. Miller in for DD and Diaz in for someone.
Just saying, if I had to choose, it would be McD, simply to give him some rest.
Can picture Diaz in lineup, him being ****, and then endless posts calling AV a moron for using him.
Is it true Miller is in?? Could of sworn I just saw that in twitter. If so, I keep carcillo in over dorsett on the 4th line.
I worry that whatever's wrong with McD wont be fixed with a day off. (I curse what Burrows did to him).
You really didn't pick up on his sarcasm there? I thought he laid it on wry thick, was actually going to comment and say he was laying it on too thick.
He's being sarcastic. His posts are actually really funny because he's basically saying what a lot of people here imply in their posts, he just says it more obnoxiously and bluntly.
Reg Dunlop has emerged as a true talent here. Look how worked up he got you. Do you really think anyone in their right mind would believe Diaz is the X factor and then point to his 1 point in 2+ mins of pp time a game as the reason why? No, that's why it's funny. And it's even funnier lately because there's other posters who are basically saying the same thing without being so blunt about it. Bravo, Dunlop.

McDonagh's total PP TOI this postseason is 39:17 (1st in the NHL among d-men). He has averaged 4:21 PP TOI/G
It’s a large enough sample that both Lundqvist and Fleury’s first game SV% mirrors their total rates over the five seasons, yet the two go in completely different directions in the second half of back-to-backs. Fleury’s 0.892 SV% is average for goaltenders on the back-half of back-to-backs.
Also, back-to-backs aren’t a common occurrence for Fleury these days. In the past two seasons, he’s played in only three sets of back-to-backs, compared to eleven for Lundqvist.
Raphael Diaz?
Power Play savior?

We lose this game and you can stick a fork in 'em. Rangers need to win tonight and, if not, I'm confident we'll be going out. Hey, at least we won't be without a first round pick for 3 years straight.
