To me, Drydale is Byram. Simple as that.

If there is doubt that Rossi or Perfetti will not be able to play C in the NHL, then the Swedes will move up, and Lundell will move up just like Kotkaniemi did, because he appears to be able to play C at higher levels, and some teams are desperate for C's.

Is it Brendan, or Braedan Schneider?
It's Braeden, my mistake. I must have had Guhle on my mind.
It's the skillsets. Poirier is perceived as having extremely high potential. You can disagree with that if you want, but it's seen by those who rate him highly that if he figures it out, he'll be a star. I don't think anyone believes Villeneuve has that type of upside.

The points might be what you said, but look at the goal differential. Poirier is an excellent goal-scorer for a defenseman. That's the type of thing that is more translatable to higher levels than putting up assist numbers in junior hockey without having elite playmaking skills, which I haven't seen anyone suggest Villeneuve has.
Pretty much my reasoning. You can't have a guy with his upside outside of the top-20.

What are your thoughts on the list?

I usually don’t comment on these types of lists. I don’t view it as productive. It’s different from mine, so I definitely disagree with some things. I don’t see the point in being rude about these disagreements. I’m not going to lie and say it’s great when I have significant disagreements. But compared to some of these other lists, I think it’s probably closer to what I’d have.

The main things I’d disagree about are that I’d probably have Lundell around where you have Rossi and Rossi where you have Lundell. I’d have Poirier in the top 10, but I know I’m higher on him than most. I think Foudy is a top 20 pick due to his skating and offensive potential, even with his not so strong season. And I think you are a little low on the American crop. I think Brisson, Bordeleau and Sanderson are all first round picks, but none of these guys are top 10 picks, so I can see how there’s variation in how they are ranked on all these different lists you see.

Thanks. I wasn't looking for praise, just different perspectives.

Dylan Garand has back to back shutouts, 4 on the year. Also has a 2.17 GAA and .924 save percentage on the year.

Only 1 dman in the top 15? Don't think so. Last year most lists had only Byram in the top 10, and 2-3 D in the top 15. Next thing you know, Seider and Broberg are taken, the Soderberg and York before pick 14.

Bottom line is that there has never been a draft that I am aware of when only one Dman was taken in the top 15. Most lists underrate the value of Dmen- yours is by no means the only one.

Which other defensemen do you see going in the top-15? Drysdale is obviously a lock for the top-10, but I'm not sure who else would be picked in the first half of the round. Poirier is the only one I see with enough upside to go top-15, but also has a lot of question marks. Ditto with Barron, who has had a poor season riddled with injuries. I like Guhle, Schneider, and Grans, but they lack offensive upside.

A few others who I wouldn't rule out being drafted in the middle of the first round are Sanderson, Nikishin, O'Rourke and Wallinder. I think there are a lot of possibilities in the middle of the first round. There are a lot of names being talked about in that range, but not that many have solidified a spot so early on.
