Give me 12-15 goals and 30-35 points in a bottom 6 role and this is a tidy bit of business. At his age, I think anything under 1.5 million per year is an excellent price.

McMann and Jarnkrok could be 2/3 of a highly respectable 3rd line.

Not just the hat trick but the way he plays. He’s fast, can hunt pucks and shoot. He might be Hyman/Connor Broen light and it feels nice to get to keep one of these guys at a reasonable number instead of losing them

Also think about how all of a sudden the Leafs can ice a bigger line with McMann, Knies and Kampf.

The diff between this deal and the one Engvall signed years ago with the Leafs is the fact that even if McMann don’t score like he did two weeks ago, his intangibles of playing hard, forechecking, backchecking…are worth this contract.

Like it. Shout out to all the people on here that saw his potential when he first appeared on the scene. I recall reading about his speed physicality and scoring success in the minors. He’s money with Knies or on a 3rd line with other big bodies. Consistency is his next step….so far so good.

It’ll be curious to watch what happens with him now. If he can provide the energy he’s capable of up the lineup like Hyman and Bunting did, he could help spread out the offence through the lineup.
I’d like to see M&M get invested in someone like they did with Bunts too. They were constantly in his ear on the ice, guiding him along.
Need more of that….with Knies, McMann, NickRob.

What's not to like, a big fast and strong winger, who can cycle, who has a great release, a player who has a real commitment to success. A player who's coachable and has a likeable manner. Most importantly he wants to play here, they'd have been crazy not too get hom signed. Good job all around.
