He hasn't been right for 2 years. But other than this place, nobody will mention it basically.

He's on pace for 58 points this year. And has lost skill and speed.
lol buddy is 4 months off winning the conn smythe.

Something is definitely up with him this year, and I don't just mean coming back from an injury surprisingly (and perhaps alarmingly) early. Please, just rest him until he's actually healthy, not "Oilers healthy".
The doctors and him make the decision. What does “Oilers healthy” even mean.

He's still Connor McDavid but I fully agree he hasn't looked himself for a season plus. Zero doubt he's been the best player in the league for most of his career but the last season plus a few guys have entered his tier

I don't know how people that watch him game after game don't see it. Still wouldn't surprise me to see him pull out of it but I believe he has some nagging injury. I thought he looked a little more like himself last game

I've said it all year, really think something is going on either physically or mentally. Okay, let's blame his wife!

Conn Smythe as a skater on the losing team. Basically a legendary performance unmatched in 30+ years. Guy had the whole Florida team draped on him with his 2 wingers being useless in the finals and still almost powered through, with his own core injury.

I wouldn't blame him if the burn of last playoffs is still bugging him. Don't doubt he will be back in full form soon enough.

I agree with this but its also hilarious how he still won a Conn Smythe while not looking 100%

22/23 McDavid is the best version of him so far. He's so much more dangerous when his objective is scoring goals

Right now I'd say that the odds favour McDavid finishing his career with the second highest point totals of all time. Barring injury after this year he will probably need roughly 810-820 points to catch Jagr. He could possibly do that by the time he is 35.
It's wild looking at the all-time points leaders. McDavid at 999 points is approaching the career totals of some HOF players in their own right, who got 1000 points in 1100-1300 games. Then you look at McDavid's games played and see "658". It's another level.

You gotta hate lock outs. McDavid would have passed 1000 points. Crosby with the most points as a Pens. OV with the goal record
