McDavid is beyond incredible, but Ovechkin is overrated too. I would rather have a double digit amount of players from his own era i the playoffs.
Sounds like someone is still bitter the NHL made the Wings start the SCF before they were ready .

I have never complained about it. Don't think either would have been close to 100%. Just saying with them there at 100% they would have won it.

Hmm you did say in your previous post that…. Malkin averaged 0.5 ppg after his injury, but him being healthy wouldn’t have mattered against the 08 wings team. Do the Pens really beat that 08 fully healthy juggernaut Detroit?.

Only Gretzky has a higher points per game, even Lemieux is very slightly behind him (1.608 vs 1.607). Draisaitl is also damn impressive at 5th with 1.49.

Nobody is denying Ovi's goal scoring prowess and everyone knows he overtook Gretz in regular season goals. One can still criticize his playoff performances in relation to that and there are good arguments for that. Although for Cap and Ovi fans I think the one Cup kind of makes up for everything else, and I get that.

OV has a cup and his best linemates throughout his career are a combo of Backstrom, Semin and Kuznetsov.

Crosby has always been bad defensively. You can tell right off the bat as his +/- has never been great. He's only had a +20 twice in his career despite racking up tons of pts and Pitt winning tons of games. It's even lousier in the playoffs. So it shows whichever opposition defensive line of checkers playing against his line does almost as well as his scoring at even strength.LOL! But like all sports, scoring gets the highlights and overshadows any defensive metrics. An NHL player getting 80 pts and always bad defensive metrics with a -15 rating will aways be glorified more than a more well rounded player who gets 60 pts and is a selke winner with a +15.
