Esposito at one point had 346 in 190 which is actually slightly higher per game than Connor. Not sure about 200 or 209 games exactly, as I didnt check dates. I just went with full RS and/or Playoffs.

I don't think anyone else beats him (aside from Wayne/Mario of course). I checked Yzerman, Bossy, Howe, Jagr, Kucherov, and a few others with notable single seasons.

By McDavid's age, Crosby only had one cup and lost the Conn Smythe and scoring lead to Malkin. He also lost the point race to Jamie Benn on 2 occasions. He wasn't the stat monster you seem to think he is.
