You can have a guy like LeBron who's wins the odd championship but is a whiney bitch and flops all over the court and has a love hate relationship with fans.

I respect McDavid, that's all. This league has an issue with protecting its star players and it's been very noticeable this season that they aren't.

Stauffer said refs, etc told him years ago that these stars "have to fight through it" and basically get the refs respect lol

I know I know
I don't like that its the same suspension the Myers got but it was a crosscheck to the face a week after he got away with an elbow to the chin. Don't be naïve to think the 2 aren't related, no doubt he was at least contacted about that elbow.

Another reason Canada needs its own separate league. This is driven by business and there is no way he gets that on any American team.

The excessive interference.

It’s pretty naive to think some of these uncalled infractions aren’t contributing to some of the injuries he’s dealing with.

it was a cross check to the face, he probably should have only gotten 2. 3 is not going to make me want to scream and cry and dissolve the league, its not going to make a huge difference in the grand scheme of things

This isn't real Team Canada though. It's an invention by Buttman and the NHL to have an Olympics-esque event on their terms and keep all the $$$. No one is going to care about the winner of this gimmick in ten years.

McDavid has the perfect opportunity to show the league who really holds sway, but I don't know if he has a balls to do it. If not he'll have wasted the most leverage he'll ever have at getting real change.

When Gary is gone, does it get passed onto his kids? This is ridiculous - there needs to be some sort of mechanism. Maybe there is and they just all overlook it.
 
Well I am definitely not missing the return game on Monday.

Honestly this may be the best thing to happen.

1. I can't see McDavid doing anything but tearing the league a new ass on the ice.
2. The NHL has been doing an amazing job of shutting everything down concerning officiating.. and I mean every piece of talk about officiating. You'd never hear a f***ing peep from anyone. But now the eye of media'dor is lit.. hopefully.

The only control we have is our decision to turn that T.V on.. or buy that ticket.

With that being said, I'm not going to turn my T.V on tonight, Thursday, or Saturday.
Not because I don't think McDavid should be suspended. But in protest of the absolutely embarrassing display of game management by Chris Lee and Wes McCauley, and the NHL's lack of accountability for it.

He's been the commissioner for 3 decades now. I'm not too caught up on the other sports leagues but I know the NBA, NFL, and MLB have all changed commissioners in that time span.

This tourney thing is not even important enough to put on mcDavids resume in terms of his legacy lol. You are right. It's a clown show. The best players were not picked. Russia is not even in it.

I hope they all play it like an All-Star game. Get it done with quick. No injuries.

This is no Crosby winning the damn olympic gold lol. This is like the Temu version.

If you think the outrage or even the cross check to garlands face is based on this one play. You have your head in the sand. It’s because the guy has the puck more than any other player in the league. Other players consistently take liberties against him knowing the refs don’t usually call anything. Proven by the fact he sits at about 200th place in penalties drawn per 60. Plus over the past couple years it appears that he has been battling through a lot of nagging little injuries. I wonder why that is? So yeah, it’s not about protecting him from garland holding him this one time. Like it’s a one time thing. Open your eyes.
