I keep hearing about the Chiefs and Mahomes. I don't watch football. It can't be worse than the NHL's management of the league, can it?

I hope mcdavid skips 4 nations. f*** the NHL. People will be mad, but it’s about sending a message. Want mcdavid to play? Call the f***ing game even remotely properly. Enough is enough, he’s been in the league for 10 years and plays through it all. The refs don’t even try to do their jobs, it looks like a negative bias at this point.

If mcdavid played in Vegas, or LA, or Florida, it would be a different league right now. He’d either draw 10 penalties a game or teams would have to stop cheating and he’d light them up more than he already has. His 150+ point season might have been pushing Mario and Wayne’s seasons.

We’d hate his guts in that scenario but man he’d torch the league even more and it would be something to behold.

Same reason they looked at Drai getting slewfooted against Minny and did nothing, nothing at all. It’s a negative bias, no other explanation for me.

McDavid has been suspended before where Matthews has not, that plays a part in the suspension duration

3 games is about right, if it happened earlier in the game and the major saw him miss more time it probably would've been 2

It goes way the other way actually, because for all its faults the NFL knows fans to watch its best players on the biggest stage and not irrelevant tools like Garland.

Don’t like that he did what he did but I can’t blame him either. He’s taken more garbage than anyone night in and night out for almost a decade. He finally snapped. But this could have all been avoided if the refs did their frickin job.

he won't, but I am with you. The league will never admit fault or blame, no matter what. I wish this would of been a bigger story league wide, but, probably just going to go down as crybaby McDavid, crybaby Oiler fans. McDavid is a pro, I wish he was more vocal, I wish he was more selfish. This league has no idea how to promote its stars. Guys like McDavid shine in spite of this league, not because of it.

In all seriousness, I wouldn't be opposed to calling up a goon from Bakersfield for the sole purpose of pulling a Dennis Wideman the next time this happens. Take the suspension and send a strong message back the other way.
