You’re right. I just can’t think of a more creative nickname for two “generational” players that get outscored constantly and have…0 cups

The un-self awareness here is off the charts. The Leafs have never had a generational player, and they’ve never been close to a Cup since I’ve been alive. And I’m pretty damn old. You’re like a eunuch laughing at a guy with a big ****.

Look, we get it, Garland is much smaller than the average male and needs big George Parros to step and in protect his teensy wittle self. It's pretty sad stuff for someone who seems to think of himself as such a tough guy.
It's pretty sad stuff when the best player in the world can't control his emotions and puts his team at a disadvantage by getting himself suspended after a wrestling match they both contributed to. McDavid would have gotten off clean if he had just dropped the gloves and threw a punch instead of crosschecking a guy in the head. This has nothing to do with Garland size, and it's asinine that people keep bringing this up. Parros isn't stepping in to protect his "teensy wittle self" it's literally his job to review and decided on the supplemental discipline.

Call one of the 8 penalties on garland and it wouldn’t have happened. Zebras are so bad at their jobs.
This is what the Oilers radio team said word for word, and I agree

The NHL never protects it's star players.

Crosby complained about infractions on him not being called for years, and in turn we just called him cry baby Crosby, while thinking nothing of the problem that still exists today and has put McDavid in this situation.

How many times would you need to be wronged before you lash out in a way that is not befitting of citizens in your community?

The NHL will do nothing to address this issue. They couldn't be any more lacking in foresight.

Its what canucks pbp guy Ray Farraro said as well.

I agree with 100% and if canuck fan bring up the interference before the play on petterson, or anyother non call before the garland bullshit call that too, call the f***ing penalties and stop with game management.

I see someone trying to get up while a garden gnome puts a seatbelt on his arm.
and his legs are wrapped around him as well.

McD will get a sussy and deservedly so.

But pukes like Garland trying to hog tie your opposition needs to get his face caved in next game. He knows that even a penalty won't happen because the Oilers have the puck and it won't be whistled. I'm assuming there is some kind of code among the players to keep this from happening because I have never seen something quite like that before, just a wild play. Garland wasn't even trying to hide it.
Look at what Mcdiver was doing before to Garland.

Most people think he will get suspended
Doesnt change the fact we love how Connor stick up for himself when the refs won’t do their jobs
Nah it's just whining.

Garland didn't assault him.

McDavid initiated the whole thing and thought he'd get away with it because of who he is. Connor could have been called for roughing or interference just as easily.

They can tell McDiver that if he wants to be allowed to play in the NHL, he needs to stop disgracing the sport. How can you give him the benefit of the doubt when he's constantly flopping like a circus seal and throwing tantrums when he doesn't get his way?

Two of the most unlikable teams in the league here either way so hopefully both sides get lengthy suspensions
Come on now us nuck fans aren't nearly as obnoxious as them, especially with the season were having.

Besides, the only thing most of us really died on was Quinn Hughes being completely underrated and we were right in the end.

So if the only penalty was on garland when was the penalty going to be called? Canucks never touched the puck
The moronic refs gave everyone on the ice a minor except Connor and Myers who both rightfully got a 5 minute match penalty. There was no penalty coming for Garland until the refs had to try and backtrack for their incompetence.

I'm aware it happens in scrums all the time. I'm talking about that specific situation. One team with the goalie pulled. Than a player from the team trying to hold on literally holding onto the player which happens to be the other teams probably most lethal option. The ref didn't even have his arm up but say he did want to call a penalty it would mean nothing as the clock would be almost run out. Teams are down by one goal all the time and you don't see blatant and obvious as that was.
Lol. Just about every Oiler fan here completely blind to the fact that McDavid was laying on top of Garland for 5 seconds. To top oy off, McDavid punched Garland in the head.

If George Parros is afraid of the physicality that Connor McDavid is dishing out, he might want to re-think his career choice. This is him protecting a teeny weeny wittle guy who can't back up his own actions. Cave man see rat get hit hit, defend rat.

No, this is literally Parros doing his job. Crosschecking a guy in the head will never be a legal play. Same reason that Myers will also get a well deserved suspension. Unless you also think Bouchard is a rat who can't defend himself?

But Parros has let a lot more go in his time as head of player "safety". He's chosen to dish out extra punishment here for some reason. Did the image of a helpless little elf being bullied by big tough Connor really touch him that deeply? Seems like it.

I think it's probably that Parros, as a fighter, is personally offended when he sees Pierre Turgeon The Second as the face of the league, and now he's taking matters into his own hands.
