Who cares? It's hockey and a hockey play. McDavid was tackled and held on the ice. He is quite right to take matters into his own hands to protect himself and his ability to play. McDavid needs to play his game. If he starts cheap shotting players he will get a taste of his own medicine and no one will care when he cries about it.

If McDavid is so soft he needs to crosscheck players in the face over some holding and roughing like last game . I guarantee it will come back to haunt him. It really is not a good look on him and he needs to toughen up a bit.

No, I don’t think the answer is to toughen up and take more abuse quietly. I think you respond with unpredictable escalators force as a deterrent. Kinda like Mark Messier used to talk about.
