Not bothered at all, more rest for McDavid. Oilers comfortable in the standings, unlike the Canucks.

I don't disagree, it's a general statement. I said the same about Kadri. He took suspensions when he should have just taken the 5 min penalty and accepted a punch or two back after delivering more.
I am a peaceful man, but the street rules in the NHL sometimes decide the response. The stick work is not right and he deserves the suspension. Stars need to be protected though, as a general statement. Especially in the playoffs, the league remains an outlier in pro sports.
McDavid should have gotten more. He needs to stop trying to injure players, he is dangerous to have on the ice.

3 is definitely pretty light given how egregious it was. Oil fans should feel lucky it wasn't more
It was a suspendible action and the league got it right. It was a reckless and dangerous check.

If you're curious about Parros adding any credibility or consistency since he took over at the DOPS, you should look up the number of players who have been suspended for actions against his former rivals, the Sharks.

Another flaw. You don't get suspended more because you didn't get suspended before.

This should have been his 5th suspension in total and thus been 10+ games as a multiple repeat offender. He has really been given a free pass by DOPS for a long time! 3 games for this incident was right, he still owes about 10 games for previous infractions though!
He doesn't get paid to fight. He fills buildings by people watching him score.

Almost every DOPS video that gets put up on the NHL's website includes a note about prior history.
I can’t believe they actually suspended the best player to ever play the game. And they suspended McDavid, too!

i remember his rookie season when he absolutely destroyed oduya into the boards from behind and didn't even get a penalty for it. no hearing either

Yes, McDavid owes a 4 games suspension for this one, could have ended with a broken neck for Oduya. The ref standing their not calling it should have been fired on the spot!
...since Garland is sooo small, I wonder if McJesus was worried about accidentally being charged with Child Abuse??...maybe that's why he didn't just drop the mitts and thump him...

I mean he deliberately elbowed a guy in the back of the head then crosschecks someone in the back of the head. Obviously happy he got a deserved suspension here and hope that this is because they have chosen to start penalizing him.
I don't believe that though, this time their hands were tied because Myers was up for the same suspension and they can't let both go, so he got the same one. If he's the only one being reviewed he doesn't get 3 games, I sincerely believe that. But I also believe that'd be the case for Mackinnon or another superstar. League doesn't give the same punishment to a 4th liner as it does to a superstar, even if the actions are the same. Which is wrong. But it is what it is.
If the next time he does something dirty and reviewable he gets suspended an appropriate amount of games the amount of "whining" will go down for sure.

Parros must not have been impressed with his dead eyed monotone mumbling in the hearing. 3 games is the correct amount of games for that little McTanty.
