The NHL is the only league stupid enough to allow the best player in their game to be sat on and interfered with for 10 seconds without calling a penalty when the game is on the line. McDavid should have cross-checked the ref in the face instead. It's not Garland's fault they are incompetent fools.
I don't pay attention to what that meat head has to say but humor me, he was right about what exactly?

Quick Google search on him is just a bunch of videos of him getting his ass kicked and a bunch of .gifs of buff folding him in half
This game is a textbook example of what happens when terrible refereeing allows games to get out of hand. Not an excuse for either McDavid or Myers (they both deserve their incoming suspensions), but if the refs had actually called any one of the countless infractions on Garland tonight, this incident never happens. Garland reminds me of a clingy toddler who hangs onto their mom's leg everywhere she goes...

Is there a player in the entire NHL with a more punchable face than Conor Garland's?
And tbf, what is he, 5'3"? On most players that cross check ends up in their stomach area.
Instead of seeing if the best player in the league could help tie the game in the final seconds, I got to watch him get pinned to the ice and blatantly interfered with. Great product NHL. I am sure when Mahomes is driving down the field to tie the game the NFL would let someone sit on him and prevent him from getting up

McDavid was on Garland. High praise saying Garland is the best player in the league though. It's the leagues fault for letting it get this far with McDavid. He should have been fined at the very elast for his previous elbow.
Definitely a suspension for McDavid. Probably not a suspension for Myers given that I'm a Canucks fan and he's a really good person.

The area surrounding Vancouver is absolutely gorgeous, but you couldn't pay me enough to live in the actual city or it's suburbs.
I moved away from Canada almost 13 years ago, but if I had to move back, Calgary would most likely be my choice of cities to live in (and I write that as a former Edmontonian).

Maybe! They could both do well once traded to Pittsburgh, although Demko is one awkward lateral movement from needing hip/knee replacements
he instigated the wrestling match by tackling garland before he got to a puck that he could have shot down the ice into an empty net. But yeah, in this case drop the gloves against the 5'6" guy instead of taking the chicken shit route with the stick to the head.
the other day he injured a guy on Minnesota - who wasnt holding or touching him- with a cheap shot to the head, the guy hasnt played since.
that was nothing, the other one the other night though was reckless and dangerous, this... nothing
a storm in a glass, he barely touched him.

Maybe this incident changes the mentality of Edmonton organization..
Instead of getting tougher at deadline they need to get cheaper..
Pick up a guy like Garland who can just sit on Makar for 20 seconds and then draw a penalty.
A relative of a ref would be ideal.

The NHL refuses to call their own rulebook and then is shocked when players take matters into their own hands.
The only way inferior teams like Vancouver can contain players like McDavid, MacKinnon, etc. is to hook, grab and interfere at every opportunity. Unfortunately, the NHL generally looks the other way.
