I would rather say good game Laco. Could have easily ended 5:0 if it wasn't for him.

I have always liked the Slovak style of play though - it's more direct and physical than your Czech brothers' (and with noticeably less dying swans on the ice too). You are like slavic Finland to my mind... Hopefully your player production will pick up again, it would be really a big shame to lose your nation from the top.

I don't think we have played the "Slovak" style of play since the 06 Olympics.

Aaaaaaand Slovakia are out.

It's still possible to advance with 10 points, at least as of right now. Denmark needs to defeat Norway in regulation tonight, Finland needs to defeat Belarus in regulation, Norway needs to defeat Belarus in regulation, and Slovakia needs to defeat the US in regulation. Easy, right? :sarcasm:

If slovakia beat both Russia and USA in regulation, Belarus only needs to lose against finland tomorrow.

Saros hasn't lost a NT game in regular time ever. One SO loss IIRC.

And this guy wasn't good enough to be in the goal in our most important U-20 games this year. Defending gold medalist goalie from the previous year... Miikka Kiprusoff was the goalie coach who made that call. I still can't understand that decision.

Slovakia can beat Usa, I'd say it's 50-50

USA knows they will get other group's #4, (I guess it's Switzerland?) if they win on regulation, so I don't think they'll have attitude problems for that game. I say USA wins that but SVK has a chance of course. I assume USA beats Slovenia tonight and gets 3 points.

I'm only counting with 1 miracle, not 2.

Well, we may have some scoring difficulties in our culture. But we do have the best goaltenders in the world, so it's not that big of a problem. Thanks for the Slovaks for the game, could have ended for them really if they would've get the first one.

Btw I'm still wondering why Chara isn't playing. Also curious about Tomas/Thomas Zaborsky of HIFK. Did these guys straight up decline to join or what? It's almost a home tournament after all so I just find it weird. Injuries?
