I made a small bet on Russia winning it all but I wonder if the money should not have been spent on Canada instead. So much fire power!

Defensive do win championships but the Worlds can be won with a super offensive and Canada got it.

I still don't like that defence and goaltending.

Muzzin and Ekblad were good today.

The rest.... well... lots of poor positioning... decisions... with some redemption in the end aka Wierioch...

And Smith handles the puck well outside his crease...

That being said goaltending is a question mark for this team going forward. :(

NHL ice with more lenient playoff officiating...hrmm.

To be fair, this group of Dmen would look a lot better as an NHL roster than as an international roster and the forward group would be the greatest in the NHL by a wide, wide margin.

Are you being serious right now? Canada would romp their way to the Cup every year. Wouldn't even matter that they have Mike Smith in net.

Oh yeah it is:naughty: I hate to lose... and with your attitude you would probably have a rough night in Europe:laugh:

Well congratulations to Canada! think you guys will win this tournament... if you can get your defencs to play better.

You are acting like a fifteen year old.

Sweden was the much better team in the first, but once Canada got going there wasn't a whole lot the Swede's could do to stop our firepower. Nilsson's play in net didn't help. Great game though, it was a lot of fun to watch, I'm sure we'll meet Sweden again in this tourney!

You must be kidding me... Sweden will go straight out in the QF for sure... worser team is hard to find, can't holde a leading samething in the Cezch game and the Russian game before...

I was hoping for a bit of a lesson learned about giving up 3 goal leads and not winning.

But they won anyway, so the lesson might be that they always think they can come back, which is a mixed blessing.

Well to bring back the point he's only 19 I wouldn't expect him to not have a couple breakdowns. But overall he's going to be a top Dman in this league without a doubt.

Not just a top D-man but a franchise D-man. How many 19-year old D-men are this good? Just 12 months ago this guy was still with the Barrie Colts for crying out loud.

It is amazing how far this kid has come in such a short period of time.
