Nope nhl Hockey is Hockey at it's worst. too many teams, too many bad Hockey players, the level is shockingly low now.

Feel sorry for people who are wasting their time watching the dismal playoffs.

Must be nice watching dogs dump and chase and get stuck in a corner. that's nhl Hockey, play your system because systems is what defines Hockey. This is rocket science you know ?

Totally wrong in your statements...

My team the Jets are out, swept, close series with Anaheim for 3 of the 4 games, could have been Jets 3 up on Anaheim, instead the Jets get swept. A very intense 3 of 4 games.

Almost all the Series in the NHL have been like this series was.

Don't bash the NHL Playoffs to elevate your perspective... let the WHC stand on it's own. The WHC is different, not necessarily better because a good number of these games are swirl-fests with no forechecking, neutral zone trapping et al... which is paint drying.

Enjoy the game where ever it is. :p:

there are so many hilarious things going on in this picture.

1 - the guy with the flag on the left going horizontal in his celebration
2 - the girl with the patterned arm sleve going nuts
3 - the guy doing some weird arm flailing in the middle
4 - the chill guy just swiping on his phone
5 - the guy in the front nodding for no reason
6 - the guy in the back with a really girlish clap
7 - the beer "ufo" coming from the top

hilarious

10/10

Can Swedish and Canadian fans stop arguing who are the most sore losers (most upset after a loss)? It's like trying to tell which of the Sedins are Henrik and Daniel.

You know who the real agitating culprits are. The scum media in respective country.

i must say i disagree .. at least in terms of the talent in the league, the pool might have never been deeper on pratically all positions. BUT .. I agree in terms of the entertainment factor, unfortunately, because I am a hopeless hockey addict, but apart from some exceptional games it becomes unwatchable ... and imo, more than the system, it's a matter of available space on the ice (which makes dumping very attractive btw) ...

.. i jusgt recently watched the 96 worldcup of hockey finals, argubly one of the best hockey games I have ever seen and youjust come to realize, that with all the talent on the ice back then, there was still time to breath, skate, pass, show off skill and play hockey for christ sake ... it has become a pinball game and after peaking in the late 80s, early-mid 90s the quality and entertainment factor of the game has constantly dropped ..

.. and then I see a game like this today and I know why

Against Sweden in particular. :sarcasm:

The big ice in the NHL wouldn't change that much.
Remember Sochi?

If people want to play boring shutdown hockey on the big ice, they can.
Hockey needs more intrictate rule changes if it really wants to open the game.

Now you've made the scum media sad.

You put it more eloquently than I could, this is mostly true (plus some stupid fans on both sides who are spoon-fed by the media).

Why are people complaining at a high-scoring game anyway? For once its not a 1-0 game in the POs (caps-wash for example)

People think that high-scoring is the result of higher skilled forwards but it's really a zero-sum thing involving team defence and the capabilities of defencemen.

Really makes you wonder how stacked the Swedish team would be if they had the Sedins and edler from Vancouver.

Is this the first time the sedins did not go?. Edler I understand, had a grueling year.

It's not always that simple.

Maybe the tired Sedins wouldn't have actually made the team better.
