Heck of a game so far. Canada has got to always be aware of Oscar Moller. His shot is deadly in the slot. 3rd is going to be a dandy.

did I miss something and this is the final already?

jeeez one of these games that gives an idea of the potential the NHL would have, if they would increase the rink size JUST A LITTLE nowadays ...

grrrrreat game.

If they would increase the rink size AND get rid of half the good defencemen in the NHL.

I'm glad Wiercioch is getting a chance at the WCs but he's Ottawa's 4th best defenceman and that's being nice.

Too 3 centres (H. Sedin, Zetterberg and Bäckström). Wasn't unfair, though, because the former two were injured and the third made a huge mistake with his medication. Only thing that could be unfair is that Bäckström was excluded literally half an hour before puck drop, they should've made the decision much quicker. Never heard anyone blame that for Canada's win, though. Amazing how fans of Canada have to be such sore winners after beating a nation with like a sixth as many registered hockey players, though.
No were not being sore winners any more than you're sore losers. Take your blinders off

Good comeback from the boys but man we aren't winning gold with Smith in net. Man he sucks.

Nah you will win anyway if just your skaters want it enough. This Canadian lineup is superior the others. Of course in one game a few of the other teams can get lucky and win, and in the knockout part of the tournament its just one game.

I think he's been pretty visible myself.

Strange people singling him out when there are other guys who aren't doing much.

Well he's the biggest star of the tournament and is supposed to be "the best in the world" so it's quite natural for a viewer to single him out.

Nope nhl Hockey is Hockey at it's worst. too many teams, too many bad Hockey players, the level is shockingly low now.

Feel sorry for people who are wasting their time watching the dismal playoffs.

Must be nice watching dogs dump and chase and get stuck in a corner. that's nhl Hockey, play your system because systems is what defines Hockey. This is rocket science you know ?

Someone always has to be this guy in the WHC forum. Any more stereotypes you want to trot out?

If this game has proven anything it's that Canada has the potential to be quite porous.

That can be very dangerous in knock-out games.

I thought Crosby was really strong on the puck in the second, he cycled well and created a few scoring chances, most notably the one where Muzzin completely fanned. He also had a great back check and broke up a scoring chance that could have easily had us down 4-1.

Well we're used to sub par goaltending in this tournament. Mike Smith scares the hell out of me in a knockout game.

There are so many hilarious things going on in this picture.

1 - the guy with the flag on the left going horizontal in his celebration
2 - The girl with the patterned arm sleve going nuts
3 - The guy doing some weird arm flailing in the middle
4 - The chill guy just swiping on his phone
5 - the guy in the front nodding for no reason
6 - The guy in the back with a really girlish clap
7 - The beer "UFO" coming from the top

hilarious

Sweden do got an offensively gifted generation in the 20-22 age group. We have had a few good WJC with them.

Actually, there is probably less dump and chase these days in the NHL than in the KHL. There is a trend towards maximizing controlled zone entries. A team like Chicago rarely dumps it in anymore.
