Looking forward to this one. Always fun to watch the games vs Finland :handclap:

Here is some retro action from 20 years ago, World Championships 1995 in Stockholm:

(Suomi-Norja) Finland-Norway

This will be very close game.

Looking forward to see future Jokerit forward Mathis Olimb.

Who will Tollefsen demolish today?

It will be a hard fought battle, both teams will want to impress. Norway had a really good result against US while the play was not as good. Some issues with the orientation of the defensemen IMO.

Komarov vs Tollefsen will be interesting.

Norway's best forward with Thoresen. He was also the best player in CHL tournament. Quite special and talented player in European level.

Can be quite frustrating to watch sometimes though considering he has that wicked shot and can go entire periods of not shooting once...

Rinne starting today. He made like 5 saves yesterday so no point resting him.

I wanna say 4-2 Finland, but considering we have some difficulties in scoring and not optimal lines I say 3-2 Finland. We better not take any penalties or Norway will punish, but I just read we have least penalties taken this tournament so I hope it stays that way.

Confirmed FIN lineup.

Rinne (Engren)

Lepistö - Hietanen
Salmela - Lindell
Jaakola - Ohtamaa
Mäntylä - Jokipakka

Ruutu - Kontiola - Aaltonen
Jokinen - Barkov - Donskoi
Pihlström - Hytönen - Louhivaara
Pesonen - Kemppainen - Komarov

I believe that games like these solve Finland's scoring difficulties, cause we get lower level defence against our (so far!) unfocused but rather good offense in the standards of this tournament.

More like, the play was solid but they lost so the result wasn't that good for them. I would guess that Norway will have some problems to score goals and Finland find their game yesterday, so its 4-1 to the finns :)

How good is Mathis olimb?

The Black Hawks signed him on a one year ELC in 2010, but his team "mate" Kyle Beach disclosed his shoulder on a training. That keept him out to about Xmas that year, and he never reached his potencial that year.
But after that, he has been one of Frolunda of SHL best players, and lead the EHT in point last year if I remember right.
H is very technically skilled, and have always a lot of Points. But he is small, but nifty.

Lol. And that "mate" now by wikipedia..

"Kyle Beach is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He is currently on a tryout contract for EC Red Bull Salzburg of the Austrian Hockey League."

Classic.

But of course, he probably in reality didin't actually injury Olimb on purpose, but still.

I really hope finns win this like 5-1, but I'm a bit nervous because finns can't score. They need like 45 shots on goal to score 3 goals,it's so frustrating! Team Sweden has already scored 20 beauty goals in 3 games! That's sick! Do they even train shooting in Finland..? :shakehead
