Yup, scoring a goal from a point-blank range (he definitely would've made it to that position in the NHLMeszaros isn't good

Our forwards should be ashamed. All but one goal scored by D-men so far.
It's so obvious that we're missing a creative player like Nagy or Reway.
Who needs forwards, we have Meszaros.
What's a little concerning is that in both games the opposing goalie was named the player of the game.
We are missing competent centers, that's the biggest problem.
Well done Mez, you saved us.
I am afraid of Slovenia, Kopitar alone can create more chances than our offense.
Yes but we have Meszaros.
my wife is slovakian, so i know about slovakian mentality to critizise ;-)
i see it other:
belarus is improving country, last year was 3rd in group, lost sweden quartefinal only by 1 goal,
roster is strong, almost all play in KHL!
anyway, slovakia plays always poor against so called underdogs...
i dont understand why they wake up only at end when they are 1 goal behind?
and why they dont shoot more often?
anyway, we have 4 points, and we will get better against slovenia and norway, when NHLers are more integrated...
..and for sure we make points against finns, russia and usa...
I don´t believe we can make a point against Finns, Russians or Americans. Not after today. Hope I get surprised, but we just played too poorly.
No disrespect to Belarus, but the fact that almost whole roster plays in the KHL does not necessarily mean that it is a strong roster, you can find some very good examples in our roster.
I don't really understand the pessimism. After 2 games we have 2 wins. We outshot the opponents 43:19 and 34:18. Our game is ok, not great, but ok and it will only get better once the lines finally stabilize. I'm pretty confident that we can steal some points from the top 3.
Your opinion. Call me pessimistic, but IMO our performance was horrible. Shots aren´t everything that matters, take the no-chance shots from Bartovic and others away, then we can compare the SOG. We have 4 points, we should have had (or we wanted to have) 6 points. I wouldn´t mind the loss of the points, if the performance was better.
But then you'd need to take away low percentage shots from the other team as well. Yes, shots on goal aren't everything, but watching the games I think it's safe to say Slovaks outpossessed and out-chanced their opponents. Yes, they didn't capitalize on their chances, which might bite them in games versus stronger opponents, but I think their play was fine.
