Maybe it's for the better if we're out of the quarterfinals anyway. I wouldn't like to see Sweden or Canada humiliating us.

So you're not worried that he might suffer two concussions in a week. Well, I am. I wouldn't take this kind of risk. Like I said, this is a meaningless game. Having two concussions in a week is far from being meaningless.

but this wc shows that liga is not that strong.

shl on the other hand is strong, we will reach for sure semi-finals and than can anything happen. and all this with a shl-roster.

(the reason we suck in eht is becuse we never play with the best team)

I have no doubt in my mind that Jormakka made the call himself. It wasn't NHL style "you play injured or never play again" sort of call. If the man wants to play, man plays, no problem to my eye.

For what it's worth, there are around two units' worth of Liiga's top players missing.

Admittedly Liiga is not very strong if around 10-20 out of the ~400 players in it are WHC material, but before you toot SHL's horn... how many top dogs from the domestic league are missing from Team Sweden?

Erhm no..This shows anything can happen in hockey. Losing in EHT because "we never play with best team" is a bad excuse.

A couple of days ago there was a Finnish poster who thought Finland was in the quarter-finals, now there's a Swedish poster who thinks you've already made the semis.

Lovely arrogance not based on reality. :)
 
It's not like all best Finnish nationality Liiga players are here. If they were, it would change everything pretty much.

We had much better team in Helsinki EHT than in WC now.

Who are this players?

We got all the best players from SHL on our roster.

From other leagues we only miss the Praug boys (Thörnberg, Ullström and Zackrisson), Fredrik Pettersson from NLA and Staffan Kronwall.

But its still our C-team.

We got huge amount of players in North-America.

Check Helsinki EHT roster. Some of the big names:

Väänänen, Kukkonen, Jm Aaltonen, Pyörälä, Keränen, Eronen


And of course we lack our 1st class KHL Forwards outside Jorsti and Konna.

What are you talking about? It's pretty much common sense that Liiga is stronger than SHL. There is only one team dominating in SHL.....

Yeah, let's see how you would fare without them. And your top NHLers, and your top KHLers (save for a meager handful). Which is exactly what this year's Team Finland is doing.
 
Sad to think about the bragging from the Swedes, as they now all think we got our best Liiga team here and start to show **** on us in the future. For that sake, just ****ing win this game.

This team is pretty much a tuned up version of Jokerit... which isn't a top team in the FEL, + we actually played pretty well against the Yanks yesterday, without the first unlucky goal that would have been a different game also if this team would have played every game like the USA game, we probably wouldn't be in this deep trouble.

Besides weren't Sweden's mostly SHL roster getting their butt's kicked last year untill the Sedins came to help?

Talking about C team's guess what team iced their C-team in the Olympics and still managed to medal? Yup, Finland did.
