Roussell - da Costa - Bellemare is the same as the old norweigian line of Skrøder - Vikingstad - Thoresen ! Scoring at will against the Danes :help:

Denmark has played alright, second period onwards, but a few errors (bad passes, decisions) and the momentum just switched completely. Weak and passive in the defensive zone (this is why Larsen is most likely done in the NHL), but survival was the main target (for me!) so it's cool!

Congrats France.. Well deserved.. Pisses me off the same everytime against Norway, France and Slovenia they get us on team play and tenacity aaaand tis 6-2...

Oh well congratulations France. 6-2 - da Costa
With this Danish defense we simply don't belong in a QF.
It's really a huge step back compared to the excellent defense we saw last year, so clearly this system might be to ambitious for then playing material we have available.

The French on the contrary play a system based on their playing material and then have a super first line to win the games for them.

You even have 3(!) NHL players on the roster,so on paper Denmark doesnt look so bad. Although depth is a problem. Is there anyone you guys miss from injuries?

What a tournament for France. Big congratulations for advancing to the QF's!

Won Canada, lost only 2-1 to Sweden and beat Slovakia, Norway and Denmark. Only bad game was against Italy which they lost but other than that pretty much perfect tournament so far. Well deserved.

I step out and France pot another two! I'm done for today!

Defense is not good! O.Lauridsen is not at the speed he was last year (time in the NHL and sky-high confidence that it gave vs. time out injured this spring), and perhaps the hard work and tenacity that Mads Bødker brings (smallest guy that he is :help:) is missing too? Jesper B. Jensen has to find a club at a higher level and take the next step (should have done so when Rögle got relegated, but better late than never), but the rest of the defense has done as could be expected: M.Lauridsen still very raw, E.Kristensen has looked alright and P.Larsen is still suspect in his own zone but still clearly the best d-man on the team. Maybe the system has to change to help them out a little bit? France got one line clearly dominant, should be able to match our best defensive guys against them?

It's not the player material, but the mentality... We have prooven this time and time again...

Plus our crappy G and D are really doing it to us...

Not true - we have done that a lot of times. But this more offensive system is just not something the team is ready for.

The same thing happened against Norway when we kost 6-2 and against Slovenia... We are not supposed to be manhabdled like that by France.. And it's not just this coach and system as mentioned above..

For playing this system you probably need strong centers that can actually win some face offs.

We lack Frans Nielsen, Lars Eller and Peter Regin. (our 3 best C's)
Also lacking Frederik Andersen in goal.

But true that mentality is also wrong....this team is way to easily rattled.
