Nilsson has been swedens best player so far in this tournament. He delivers every game. He is ****ing good

I wonder who came up with that move? :sarcasm: ;) ;)
Earliest I ever saw that move, Kent Nilsson vs USA in 1989:

As for Lindström, he's a late bloomer. I wonder if any other NHL teams will do a Boston, grab one of the best two-way SEL'ers and put them on a solid 3rd line (Söderberg). Guys like Lindström and Jimmie Ericsson comes to mind.

The few glimpses I've accidently had from Islanders games, Nilsson looked very good. Much more solid than Gustavsson and Läck so Im not surprised at all. The kid got no reputation to uphold in Sweden and everything to win. He is doing a good job at it!

So you are basically saying he needs space to work but in tight areas he is rubbish?

Some players work better on small ice, some on big ice. That is what I am saying. Lecavalier and McCabe in their primes were utter useless on big ice for instance.

Colorado already tried Lindström in '11-12. Obviously, he didn't like that role a whole lot.

I remember when McCabe was benched in SEL during the lockout in 2004, he soured and just flew back home without a word to anyone. He was terrible on big ice and his mental toughness certainly didn't make up for it.

Mr Magic, the man, the legend, the one and only!!!!!! :yo: Now that was talent we could only dream of seeing again in Swedish hockey, a swedish gretsky making plays nobody knew could be made.

He had a funny reputation of being lazy and commentators were making puns about it. He was seen as all talent, godly talent who loved hockey but perhaps not summer training. (probably a result of being a bit of easy going "fun" guy, a bit like Karlsson)
