Any rule that has a degree of referee interpretation is going to be fuzzy.
 
Canada owned. Almost doubled the Czechs in shots and in the third just completely shut the Czechs down. Couldn't generate a thing.

Marginal no goal call or not, Canada was the better team by a hell of a lot.
 
5 shots by Czechs in third period in a semifinal game down 2 goals.

Pavelec with the well deserved player of the game for Czechs.

looks like the later 1/2 final game is the game for the silver medal! However, it's not over till it's over.
 
Congratulations. I would love to see the game, if that goal was allowed. It would be probably much more entertaining, because Czechs would hopefully wake up.

Anyway, pleasantly surprised by Pavelec and even D was not that bad. Expected more from our offense, but I guess it was quite frustrating to not score in that first push in first period.

Canada would probably have won it either way, but it would have been much more entertaining if the refs didn't **** up on that 2-1 goal. **** you refs.

I hope Russia wins USA, a RUS-CAN final would be nice.

A bit OT but it's kinda equal between Sweden and Finland in CHL at least. Sorry for being a bit stupid but alcohol and the feelings for hockey sometimes is a bad combo haha. Love your beer. :cheers:
 
Czechs had the chances to get 2 goals and Smith looked shaky. The best team won but Canada could get in trouble against a more opportunistic Russian team.
 
I wasn't a fan of how Canada finished this game. Playing with fire when you go into a defensive shell. I'd rather see them play as much as possible 200 feet away from their net. So many "hope plays", zero forecheck. Better not try this against Russia.

This. I won't cry or complain but too bad that our goal didn't count. Would be way more interesting hockey game in the third period. Let's win the last match remaining. :handclap:

it didn't affect the outcome, Canada was just playing to well. Sucks for the Czechs, I think it should have counted, but at the end of the day it wouldn't have mattered. We've had our fair share of ****** calls and disallowed goals called against us.

AS Montreal fans told sens fans in game 6, move on. Sucks, but its true.

Yay Canada! I'll be watching the gold medal game tmr instead of the Western showdown I think, esp if it's Can vs Rus. Isn't it SO NICE that they're at the same time? :sarcasm:
 
This is bizarre. Why are the naming the best players of the tournament with the biggest game still to go?

Claude Giroux one of Canada's top three players? :confused:

Don't get me wrong, he's been fine. But he's barely been noticeable this tournament.
