Swedes and Russians united against Finland.I wonder how much they were paid. Kale won't be happy.
Is it an international rule now that on a hit, if a player in injured, the player who hit him is kicked out? To add fuel to the fire, this will completely abolish any control they have over the rest of the game.
I just don't know what to say about this. I get tired of the "IIHF refs are awful" claims all the time - but with what we've seen this tournament the old maxim remains true.![]()
That was Vinnerborg. Not Nord.
What? That is quite hilarious, but we HAVEN'T SEEN it out of the ref's angle. The embellishment makes it hard to judge from pretty much every other angle than this one.
That would be truly amazing. At least it's a fairly safe guess that there won't be a suspension... to Komarov at least.
He needs a suspension too.![]()
Bullcrap. Swedes just don't wanna play vs us, so they're killing Finns.
Nord has won ref of the year in Sweden two years in a row.![]()
I cant remember an IiHF ref in the last 15 years who hasn't given 5+20 when a player is left groveling on the ice.
Which makes it even worse. They either called a major penalty with game/tournament altering implications on something they didn't see - or they saw... what exactly? Nothing? No way you can make a kneeing call out of that, no matter what angle you're looking from. Not unless we all missed a flying knee to the forearm at super speed or something.
Oh, Vinnerborg-level call... So nice to have him back in spirit (and nationality). Komarov was making a clean hit and the Russian player made really weird and dangerous acrobatics to avoid it, there was no way it was Komarov's fault or against the rules. Who was that Russian?
I second this
Why even try? Refs already ruined a fine game.
