GDT: May 10 • Switzerland vs. Canada

These guys are playing like it's pond hockey, but that was a good second period. They are going to need to get super serious for QF onwards.

I have to disagree. Worse goalies have put up better fights against this team.

2 goals were from tap ins that he left in the crease. He is horrible with rebounds.

The Ekblad goal went right over his pad.

that is exactly how I feel. I think once they meet Russia or Finland it will a much different pace.

It looks like pond hockey because that's how much better Canada is and has been throughout this tournament. The first period was piss poor but they had a way better effort in that second period and it showed. Too much skill, too much speed for the Swiss to handle. And taking a bunch of penalties and giving Canada multiple opportunities to score doesn't help them.

Duchene seems to be struggling. O'Reilly is getting more ice time now. Dutchy just struggles to get in the play sometimes.
 
Haha, I'm glad I wasn't the only one. Ekblad does not look like he's 19 years old. AT ALL. I'm 21 years old, and I constantly get asked if I have graduated high school (clean shaven). :(
 
Had Canada played the same way with France they played with Sweden the last 40 minutes, the score would've been 9-3 at least. It already could've been 7-1 here after two.

You expected him to save that one? He has to contend with Couturier who has a clear run to the net, Toffoli on his right side unmarked and Ekblad coming in from the point with a 100 mile per hour shot from 20 feet out.

Hall-Crosby-Eberle is fun to watch but they are all over the ice defensively.

I'm 29 and still get ID'd everywhere I go.
