But you don't see either of those teams in the Elite. Slovenia would dominate Estonian and Lithuanian hockey teams any time of the day. I'm just being honest.

That's only because Slovenia has 8 or 10 players in some of the top European leagues + Kopitar. This is basically their golden generation in hockey.

Their U-18 junior team actually plays in the same tier as Lithuania. It's possible their national team will play along Lithuania too in 10 or 15 years when all the current leading players will retire.

Another mediocre showing for this US team. The game against Slovakia will be important for placement but I still don't like their chances against any of the potential quarter final opponents.

How's Krug look

Easily one the best players for the US. The only thing I would like to see imrovementon is his communication with Eichel on the PP, both are holding the puck too long at times and everyone knows now that US is only trying to set up Krug for a onetimer. Teams know it is coming.

US PP needs a lot of work.

Slovakia won't be a pushover but I think the US should prevail. If Belarus beats Norway Tuesday afternoon then Slovakia will be out of the playoff picture before their night game against the US. They might be deflated as a result.
