This seems to be a recurring theme for USA. The dman (Krug in this case) pinches, and the forward that is back covering, pressures and misses the puck carrier before the dman gets back, leading to the odd man rush or breakaway.

hahaha Slovenia with desperation now ... the US is going to fall apart in the quarters with this lack of defensive structure and discipline.

Yeah... no. Just no. Shows how little one player, even a great one, can do in hockey.
Yup. Slovenia doesn't have any depth to their hockey programme. They're probably the worst team in this respect out of all the top 20 teams. They just don't have a big enough player base to survive in the Elite tier. I mean, even Lithuania and Estonia have more hockey players than Slovenia.

OT, but can highly recommend Slovenia as a travel destination for everyone. Gorgeous nature, friendly people and Ljubljana has to be the cosiest European capital. Great fairy tale small town feel complete with a castle and dragon (!) statues on a small bridge. All capped off with cheap prices on food and beer. Would go again, 5/5.

Brock Nelson has been much better this year than last year.

As an Islanders fan one thing that the World Championship proves to me is Nelson should be moved to LW fulltime(he plays center most of the time on the Island)

I think it's too early to decide if he's a center or wing yet, the versatility is a big plus though. He still needs to get bigger and stronger as he's still lanky as hell. He's a player though, what a great pick at #30 in 2010 - thanks Trent Klatt.

But you don't see either of those teams in the Elite. Slovenia would dominate Estonian and Lithuanian hockey teams any time of the day. I'm just being honest.
