Looks like we're about learn a lesson in the academic hockey. Bye, bye Elite Division! Oh well, nothing lasts forever. To be frank with you, I'm losing my interest in IIHF WCH too. I have also noticed the same trend in the society. It's not the same anymore. You've changed, Latvian hockey!

:/ I thought it was a pretty close game.

We just missed all of our chances, Canada scored on pretty much every one.

I agree. Despite having a 3-0 lead, Canada should be very concerned about what they've allowed to happen in their zone. I'm actually surprised it's not more like 3-2 with Mike Smith in net.

Admire Latvia going for it but this is far too loose to have a chance.
That's exactly what was expected. We're close in terms of shots on goal, but that's not how you get points against superior teams.

A couple of easy goals for Canada after we lost possession in attack. I thought we were supposed to be the one's counter-attacking. :dunno:

I miss Ted Nolan already.

Latvian fans have always showed a passion for the game vastly out of synch with the quality of their national team.

There have been upsets over the years (and a near miracle in Sochi), but Latvia has never challenged for a medal.

Oh god stop being such a drama queen. Were not going to fall out of the elite division. But i agree on one thing - WCH is nowhere near as big here as it used to.
