Elite scorer... who basically plays alone. With an adequate PP, Max would be in the Top 10. He's the best scorer in the league if we remove PP points.

He needs support, because right now, he's in the Iginla territory... great player never supported... and never won the Cup.

At least, we have PK and of course God.

This is the kind of reasoning that often fails miserably once everyone expects the guy to perform better with better players.
Maxpac is a very bery good player but he rarely passes, he shoots shoots shoots, waits for a stretch pass, and uses his speed to finish a play. It's like when people were dissappointed Nash didn't produce more once he left Cbus.

I don't think Max is a player who would get 50 with better players.

Where did I wrote he would score 50 goals ? I said he would be a Top 10 scorer with an adequate PP... it's so obvious, since he's one of the best, if not the best 5 on 5 scorer in the league.

Pacioretty is an excellent passer actually and would benefit from playing with another elite player...

nice piece by Rejean Tremblay (i know...) on Pac. ( in french ).

His grand father is Italian and his name was Pacciorretti but he changed it to Pacioretty because it helped him get hired in factories as it sounds more Polish than Italian ( not sure why it was like that )

His grand mother is french Canadian and his mom is Mexican. Max is married to Katia Afinogenov so their son Lorenzo heritage is Italian,French-Canadian,Russian and Mexican.

Lots of talk about him being ready to be the next captain and how he learned a lot from Jean Béliveau, what he learned from the funerals and the speeches from the greats still calling him my captain.

He also says faith changed his life.

If he wanted Polish, it would've been Max Paczorecski

I respectfully disagree.

82 games with Joe Thornton as his centre would be spectacular.

It would be catastrophic. Pacioretty needs to learn to step up in important situations... Joe Thornton is the biggest fail ever. The guy is lazy and downright invisible when it matters.

Big Joe always let his size and talent do everything... Pac needs to learn from players who elevate their play through determination and effort.

I don't care for a few more goals in the regular season, what I want is captain Pacioretty lifting the Cup in a habs jersey.

You're off your rocker if you believe that.

Just because Big Joe's game is to slow it down it doesn't mean he's lazy.

Ridiculous comment based on ignorance.

Or maybe it's an opinion on a made up situation. I don't think Joe and Maxpac would complement each other either, but it certainly wouldn't hurt Maxpac's game.

If you're referring that the opinion on Big Joe being lazy is completely made up I agree.

I doubt you even watched Thornton in the playoffs, if you did you would never say something like that.

Never thought you could fit so much BS in a sentence.

100 points in 132 games is not failing at all.

Just red the Tremblay article just wow. Left me with the impression that Pacioretty is really a special human being.. haha thats sound so overhyped but I do hope he keep going and become a player/leader even better than he is today.

PK Too.

..Also liked the part where he says him and PK are like secretly learning french, would be very special to see those guys who are not obligated to learn it,learn it just to make us happy as he says.

or its just Tremblay over dramatising life as he looks like he is able to do and im gullible.

he was destined to be a hab.

and as a sidenote, finally a piece by Pejorative Slur Tremblay that doesn't make me want to punch a 3-legged blind puppy

Interesting read, thanks for posting. Seems to have a lot of respect for MT which kind of surprises me.

The next day, Mike (Therrien) said, “Hey, that was your best pass all year,†and he started laughing. And I didn’t laugh. He said, “You’ve got to laugh about it,†but we were playing Florida that night in a back-to-back. I said, “I’ll laugh after this game, but I didn’t sleep last night so I’m not ready to laugh yet.â€

Poor Therrien.

I just want to be in absolute pain, be not able to feel my legs, be just so exhausted — and lift the Cup. It’s got to be the biggest feeling of relief that you’ve ever had in your life. That’s what I want to feel.

(Pause)

Can you imagine now what it would be like in Montreal? It would be legendary. There would be nothing like it.

Also interesting that he makes no mention of the strategic side, the X&O's side of coach Therrien or his dump and watch system.

We already knew that Therrien was a motivator.

Every single morning, I thought I was going to Winnipeg for Evander Kane. There was nothing in my life than I wanted less than that.

Too funny, I remember all that chatter too. Maybe Max reads HF?

Players think about that stuff a lot less than fans do.
